From: Jig Chippewa Try a plate of thinly sliced raw salmon with pepper and lemon juice for lunch today. I sleep with my Blackberry. *wants* Though all I have here is frozen salmon at the mo, fit only for cooking. Driving me mad. You now have me about 2 seconds away from bolting down to a reaaaally upscale sushi place nearby that only the locals and biz execs know about, and blowing some serious cash...

My laptop is too slow to run SL in bed plus it needs a wireless connection. So I'm stuck at my desktop.

From: Jig Chippewa Do you take your computer link to the bed with you (and use a bedside table) or do you stay rooted to your desk? Where do you experience the sl connection? Bedroom, study, guest bedroom?

Bedroom, study, guest bedroom? Laptop on lap tray, with chill pad in between - all on reclining couch in living room. And I never log in as root, desk or otherwise.

From: Jig Chippewa Get a great chopping block Brenda and your kitchen will seem to expand. One thing about my apartment kitchen (kitchenette? Too small to call a galley): I can reach the fridge, the sink, the stove, all available countertop space, and my cutting board, all without having to move my feet. I don't think a great chopping block is going to help in this regard.

You guys have got to tell me what exciting things you are doing that keep you awake while reclined on the sofa or laying in bed on SL. I find myself falling asleep sitting up. I must be doing something wrong.

I threw down all the bells and whistles and bought a gaming rig for my 40" LCD. Second life works pretty well on it. Only problem is font is pretty small so I have to sit close to the screen!

You now have me about 2 seconds away from bolting down to a reaaaally upscale sushi place nearby that only the locals and biz execs know about, and blowing some serious cash... Go now. Resistance is futile. Tomorrow, go to your local fish market. Buy really fresh salmon. Slice as thin as you do for tuna. Lay in a drippy nonchalent way (not too chi-chi) on a large plate. Slice and scatter lemon slices over the plate. Grind black pepper gently over the salmon. Let the flakes fall where they may. A sprinkle of capers will be a brave idea. If you like wine go for a dry white wine (maybe a New Zealand wine like Monkey Bay). Otherwise serve with San Pellagrino. Avoid the bread for this one.

From: Gary Korpov Since we've now included kitchens in this post I got to add mine to the post. First thing I did when I bought this house, after replacing the banister, installing central heating, shower, new front door etc was knock the wall down turning my kitchen and diningroom into one lovely BIG kitchen. Butler sink, wood benches, shabby chic gone wild and packed with all my lovely ingredients and crafting stuff. And the icing in the cake was the French doors installed opening onto a little paved courtyardy area then the garden ))) I love my home (now after all the work). I love Butler sinks! And am crazy for shabby-chic especially if its not artificial. My Mum's house is natural shabby-chic and I always wanna just settle down. Grow nasturtiums on your courtyard. I bought an old horse trough when I was 17 (first purchase for my own place) and its been a great addition. Try and get even a medium size trough and plant herbage and nasturtiums. Maybe you do already - but dont forget Chervil! oooh and Borage!

Desktop. At my desk. Why bother with a 15" screen when I have a 22" one on my desk??? My laptop runs SL too, but I keep it on there for Travel purposes. SL is not installed on the other 2 PC's upstairs. I use the Netbook while in bed, but it doesnt run SL. Otherwise I'd never get any sleep! Hmmmm.... I could get a large LCD, mount it to the ceiling & hook it up to the Laptop. Then lay in bed & run SL that way?

I don't physically take SL to bed, I use it on a desktop or laptop, both in the den/family rooom. I do take it to bed in the non physical sense that I often dream about it. When I think of it during the day though, it's the RL aspect of it, like, oh I need to get this or that done on my sim, and need to send notices to the group about this or that.
