Sat at either of two computers, both with uncomfortable chairs. Occasionally use a laptop, sat in a comfortable chair. I can't imagine myself doing SL from bed unless perhaps I was unwell and confined to bed - but I haven't been in that state for years. But with the rise of swine flu, who knows what might happen!!

Curled up on my chair in the livingroom. Fire on. Music in the backgroud, sometimes BF lying on the settee with remote control in his hand, feet up on a footstool and cat usually perched next to me.
I'd never take my Laptop to bed. It's too easy to let SL take over your life so I've set myself a few "rules" RL work done first, never turn down an offer of a night out and no laptop in bed. |

I have a laptop, but it sits on its own little table from Ikea. They seem to live longer that way

Never. I never take SL with me anywhere in the house, other than it's normal place in the dining room. I don't even take thoughts of it to bed with me if I can help it.

Living room, study (combi room)..
And no, SL a framework, which you utilize for something, just like a webbrowser.. so, it closes when not needed anymore. (e.g. going to bed). Besides, it consumes quite a bit of energy when keeping a computer or two powered on. Especially when not needed for hours. |

I never take Immy to bed. To start, my computer is simply too massive to move. (>_<
![]() But, I do take Immy to work quite often. My coworkers and boss pop in my cube once in a while to see how I've dressed up for that week, day, hour. =^-^= _____________________

My desktop is in a spare bedroom that is set up as a little office. That is the only computer in the house.

Just in my office usually, at my desk. Occasionally I'll use my laptop in the living room while multi tasking with a movie or somesuch

I live alone with a huge kitchen (I hate to cook) so the desktop sits on the kitchen table. I have (and don't anyone repeat this) fallen asleep after a few glasses of (water?) and fell out of my chair

I looked in my cupboards and all I had was a jar of peanut butter. I was like, here I hope that helps ![]() |

Why does it always seem to be that those who hate to cook, wind up with big, to die for kitchens, and I always get the little airplane galley? ![]() A big kitchen needs design. I do have an ancient and large kitchen on the coast but did not take into account how far it can be to go from fridge to stove (I use a refurbished 1950s gas stove) to sink to chopping block. Then its a separate larder/pantry. It works only if you really cook - I do. So I agree that a big kitchen is an up-market flag-waver. BUT recently I have taken to going on my deck and using a simple barbecue grill to do most of my cooking and prepping everything on the deck also. (You may recall "Gully" who joined me on my deck this summer in search of handouts) In winter I use a much smaller kitchen which is stainless steel and tileand is more "galley" than "gallery" - but my recipes change also. I have found that kitchen size doesnt matter so much as the size of my cutting block. I use a substantial one that cost a small fortune but is wonderfully "tuned" to the knives I use. Get a great chopping block Brenda and your kitchen will seem to expand. ![]() _____________________

I would love one...I don't have space for it. If you know anyone who is a carpenter or a furniture maker see if tehy can design one for you. Remember it can stack or slide somewhere and then you can "fit it" over teh sink or whatever. Go for super-hard maple. _____________________

Go for super-hard maple. No no. I have a great cutting board that I can place where I want...I want one of those islands...and more counter space...and more cabinets... _____________________
