SLExchange problem

I can login using my SL account name/password, but I cant access the website further than that without being logged off instantly

Your SL L$ balances and your Xstreet L$ balances aren't supposed to synchronize. According to the post made about using your SL name and password, there are still no plans at all to tie the two together, you still have to pay the Xstreet kiosks (or their avatar) to have an Xstreet balance.

Actually, if I pay the avatar, the money doesnt get into my account, it just dissappears, I used to could do that but not anymore. Now I *must* pay the kiosk

Maybe 10,000 users logged in might be part of the problems today

Actually no, LL stated that eventually accounts will be fully linked, hence the suspension of adding new terminals inworld.
Terminals are not going to be necessary when the accounts are linked but would be if you were correct and there would be no suspension.

So it is looking likely they are taking the linked account thing one tiny step at a time. I guess it makes sense but it is going to be far more useful once the balances are the same.

Showstopper. I've had two residents report borked attempts at purchases and I can't stay in my merchant account area without getting logged out immediately. I suggest not doing anything until they give the all clear. And even then, tread carefully.

I suggest not trying to do anything with SL or Xstreet if you want to actually make money. What a joke.

SL and Xstreet both do well when they are working right, and before SL got their hands on SLX, there was never a problem. Coincidence ?

well I was able to log in even though I terminated my original SLX account over bs there on some sales..

Still had my favorites and transaction log.

So much for them purging the system when you terminate.

OH FRICKING NICE!
So I go to log into XStreet and it says that I must use my SL account. Great!
Problem is my name for SLX was not the same as SL!!!!
And now it will not let me log into XStreet.
Does anyone at Linden Labs think things through before they make changes... I mean really if I did half the crap this company does in my job I would no longer have a job.

I filled out a ticket that I am sure will take them 6 months just to look at so they can respond and tell me some BS that will not fix the issue.

Nope! Thats what I am saying... It is not working.
I login using my SL name and it lets me in but none of my market place items are in my inventory. Yet I can search for them and find them with my name listed as the owner.

I contacted live support and got a "yes we took over Xstreet however they still support the support issues".

So now I contacted Xstreet support. Waiting to see what happens.

i don't like that they ask for my sl information outside of sl..
if a kid can hack the white house whats stopping them from doing it on another website..
why not any password we want than having everything they need in one spot to take an account..i mean i did use my account stuff before but now they see use sl password and it's like advertising it's there..

I had the same 'staying logged-in' problems, which seem to be fixed now. However, there is now a new problem: all of my sales notifications are going to my main SL-registered email account instead of the email account I set up separately to handle them. Looks like it's time to disable email notifications of that freebie item, then...

Still, I can see why they changed this in view of the link it now has to 'verified identity' - words that seem a bit iron curtain for a video game.

i'm just not gonna use it anymore is all..they said never give it to anyone..xstreet is a sister company and that is one of the anyone's to me..

it would be nice if somehow they could tell we were logged into sl and that be enough..
oh well..
maybe i'll jut wait to see if it turns into a problem down the road or if it's safe enough..
i just know i had a strange scary feeling when i seen the type your sl password here and told to never let it out..

It means that LL is using OpenID technology to implement logins to their own websites, but they're doing it in a slightly non-standard way so third-party websites using standard OpenID technology can't use it.

It's not outside SL, not any more. XStreet was acquired by Linden Lab a few months ago.
