From: Ayesha Lytton What about some kind of yearly Linden Awards - the best builds get nominated and the winners get free or discounted tier for a year. There could be a Showcase category for current and former winners, helping them to get traffic and business to stay afloat after the free-tier year ends. I like that idea!

Truth. Sadly, that natural treasure is aging rapidly.

There is a small number of 'heritage' builds in SL that should be preserved for posterity. If any of these are at risk of being lost, LL should be prepared to buy them as public treasures. If only a small number of places are involved, the cost to LL would be negligible in realtion to overall finances. That only deals with heritage builds that are changing hands, though. There's still the problem of an owner tearing down their architectural masterpiece to turn their sim into a mall or something!
