Is anyone else getting this?

If I log into home and stay home I generally stay connected. If I go anywhere I time out.

Tried clearing cache in case this is the cause ... no help.

The error I am getting is that the logon packet was not received if I go back to last location. This includes Home as last location. If I go Home I am ok.

SL does not appear to have seen me time out.

I am wondering if it is graphics card related. I've done virus scans, am going to defrag (urgh) but atm unless I want to be a prisoner in my own home I can't go anywhere or do anything. Good job I am making my home my little idyll really - but it's not much good for my love life!

The other week when the internet in Europe was broken, I was getting the logon packet not received error and if I TP'd anywhere, I'd get logged out.

Which ISP are you with? Cos for the geographical differences between us here, we're practically on the same pipe if you are with BT!

LL has put you under house arrest for past indiscretions. *nods solemnly*

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I'm a Virgin AND a Villa fan :p which reminds me, I need to be at the pub for 1.30 to watch the game.

Virgin gives me a much better service than BT did to be honest.

I've been inworld since you posted and I'm not getting any errors so it must just be people who live in Royal areas who are affected :p

As I speak Linden are logged in as me.

Any idea how freaky that is? ESPECIALLY with my inventory!

Quite possibly. Getting absolutely nowhere with this though - virtually unplayable unless I stay at home.

Having a second shot at the support network but I am deeply deeply fed up of relogging all the time.

I used to get this problem a while back. It used to happen about once or twice a week and if I left it a few hours and tried again it would go away. I raised a ticket with LL and they never really responded helpfully and eventually closed the ticket telling me it had been resolved. However I think it had something to do with opening up ports as we fiddled with our router and it went away. Either that or it was an issue with our ISP.

I had this excact thing happen to me a few weeks ago. In my case, it was Moblock/Peerguardian blocking my TPs. Disabling it solved the problem. Good Luck!

Thanks for your comments there guys.

Linden have confirmed that it's not my machine, it's not my connection - they are having the same issue with my account when they are accessing as me. I am not sure that is comforting lol ...

Any other sim than your home sim would be another IP address-but if even the Lindens can't tp anywhere else with you account, it sure isn't any port on YOUR router that has a problem.... :(

Now THAT would be broadly offensive! ;)

Interesting, Cherry, I had always assumed these symptoms were local connection problems ... please let us know what they finally come up with!

Mjam, I want some baba ghanouj, too! :D

But that's what i thought-local connection problem. Never heard of it as a "global" problem before....

No that was definitely not when I was giving up my ID to the man. Thanks Andrew, again!
