in some cases it might be me assuming that it is photoshopped, but in other cases it is very obvious, especially if you are familiar with how things fit in SL

for instance, system skirts always have that gap at the waist, but in some ads, hmmm it is not there... strange no? (and yes angles can hide the gap, but one gets used to which angle works and which doesn't)

as for retouching photos, I would not even retouch the avatar, to round out areas or whatnot, because I would not want folks to think anything else is retouched

by all means if retouching is something you are comfortable with, then do it.

I just do not feel comfortable with retouching any part of the pic, I like it to be exactly as it was snapped in SL (with the exception of removing the background and cropping)

I am not saying everyone who retouches is falsely representing their product... it is just that some folks may think the whole thing is retouched if they see parts of it is.

myself i always do a test buy of anyones products that are really nice textures..
if the item looks nothing like the image that is where we end out future transactions..
i respect designers and really never speak badly unless i have experienced it for my self..even if i am hearing bad things from people..

i've seen too many people hurt by intentional rumors in sl to become a part of something that could hurt a person..especially one that may be investing a lot into sl..

i shop a lot..when you have dancers telling you that you are spending way too much you know you shop a lot hahahaha

as i had said before i have seen some manipulated and do not look the same as the image but i see way more doing it right than doing it wrong..

i shop acrossed the board too..i start at the back pages of the search and work my way up..so if anyone was going to really be trying to gain an edge it would probably be way back there..
it's not anything that is everywhere..but there are a few i have came acrossed here and there out of the many many i have shopped at..

yeah I am not saying names, as I have no proof other than my own judgment... and I would not want to falsely accuse anyone of manipulating their photos

but I do not doubt some I have seen have been retouched to make the seams better or the texture line up better etc
heh yeah if dancers tell you you shop too much... then yep you do (if there is such a thing as shopping too much)

i i know you were not saying that ..that was not meant to you or anyone..it was more or less joining the confirmation that it does happen..i've seen it at times..
i just didn't want to leave the impression it is all over the place..i have only seen it in a few places compared to the many i have been in..
