I am still in, but functionality is ZERO. I try to change clothes and keep getting 'failed to find clothing named (whatever) in database. I sure hope this doesnt mean it is gone forever!

Had the exact same error message when I noticed one of my shoes had gone missing so I tried to put it back on I got that eror. so I tried a few other items, everything in my invnetory apparently is not in the database not ....WTF?!?

I relog to clear the cache and I spawn in in my underwear and almost nothing will rezz, including my hair.

So much for going to that wedding party I was trying to get to before this crap happened.

How about you get a job at LL and show them up? Seriously, im pretty sure they test it, but its not under a full load and so they cant predict everything. And things often appear fixed when they arent and its like a pressureswitch.. load up the servers with 40k avs and see the little toothpick holding up the world snap

It is still unprofessional to post at 2:25SLT that everything is all clear/all fixed, when clearly all of us have been having continued problems, then turn around 10 minutes later and post that there are still problems, add to that there was no advance notice they were taking the grid down yet again. The lack of communication to all of us, but especially those of us who pay and pay handsomely to use SL is astounding to me.

The Lindens aren't stupid, they certainly know well enough to test things out under full population load demand before citing that everything is all fixed.

It was fine for a bit, everything was working wonderfully for me, then it went borked. So under full load it WAS fine for a little bit, so they rejoice and get the word out fast as they can. When they find out that it isn't working, well..they start fixing it!

Actually they said they were still investigating the problem when they brought the grid back up. i think everyone shares the same frustrations you do. Im not pleased either but are you new to Second life? This happens often. They respond to it this same way often.
