saw a cat avatar last night. i forgot to find out where they got it, but i will IM them later.
i should mention, for very realisitic looking pets, go to Penny's Pets. She has a HUGE assortment of dogs to choose from.

i have an astrocat that wanders around the property, but following has never worked well in practice. it gets returned to lost&found everytime i cross a border and it stalls on script disabled land.

I have two of the sculptie cats from Zoobys & two of the VKC dogs. The dogs are the bes ti've seen & can do so much & be trained to do more, the cats look pretty good too!

I love my VKC dog (a black lab). I also have a lovely shoulder dragon from Isle of Wyrms. Those cats sound great... I could use one for my land. I don't have any of Zooby's animals, but I would love to get some hummingbirds from there.

Step one go around some seedier sims and look around for somone with a title like "top me' "Dom me" or such. After finding one prescet to talk to them like a good pet. At that point just slap a freebie collar on them and pick a good name for them. Lassie is always good.
Step two. Go to the werehouse and click on critter and pick the kind of puppy you want. Now this is the important part. Give the pet the money and have them buy the four leged form you want them to wear. If you try and buy it youself you will just have waisted 1k.
step three. Enjoy.You ahve your very own pet that can take proper orders and can follow you around on a leash and everthing else. And it will be the best animated and most interactive pet you can have on sl. Oh yes, just what the lifestyle needs: more "Dom/mes" who mistakenly believe they have even the first clue what they're doing, or even what D/s is really about. I'll admit your post made me giggle on one level, but it made me cringe even more on another. I've seen too many people genuinely hurt.

Well, when I wear my tiny tiger AV (from Wynx's store, which is now called Extrovirtual) and go around with my baby tiger pet (from the store next to Vista animations), we are obnoxiously cute. And I changed my tiger pet's script so that she now plays dead and has "moods". Let me know if if you would like your pet's script changed to say or do different things, i'm sure we could work something out  |

I just purchased a Follow Me Cat (LOLO), but am unable to get it out of its box. Does anyone know how to do this? When I try to attach it to myself, I get stuck with the box, not the cat. Thanks.

You then rez the cat onto the floor, you don't wear it |

I actually saw some dragon flies and hummingbirds for sale that were pretty kewl but I think they were to put on your own land and not necessarily be with you at all times. I saw them at Loobey's (loobies Zoo) SP?
They are great but as you say only work on land. She does some shoulder mounted animals as well. As a cautionary note id wait until her profiel says she is back from holiday as I had some purchasing issues there last week and am still waiting for them to be resolved Zog |

Denise - or anybody - how can I reposition her? She is very uncomfortable! Right click on her and go to 'edit'. Then use the move and rotate functions. I have the Zooby hold one and she is adorable  Not sure why yours comes out upside down, I have put mine down in a cat basket and all sorts and she still sits the right way when I chose 'wear'. Edit: If you still have problems, try and contact me inworld and I will help reposition |

Right-click it, select 'Open' When the times appear, click 'Add item to contents' (or whatever the exact wording). Done. After that, I usually put the original box in a subfolder in my 'Objects' folder with all the other boxes whose stuff I have added to my inventory. I call it 'Backup.' |

Jesrad Seraph has a large number of animated animals with a variety of capabilities, and a price range that should suit anyone.
My leopard cost me L300 (as I recall) It's animated, can be set to follow or attack anyone or anything. It's also ridable and can be set to roam.

Thanks again to Denise & Oberon for helping me get my chubby cat out of its box. The problem I have now is that almost no place in SL allows pets! If I'm someplace new and try to rezz my cat from inventory, I'm invariably told that the owner of the property doesn't allow creations. If I find a public space that allows creations and I rezz my cat and he follows me around for a while, as soon as I go very far I'm onto someone's property and they won't allow the cat! Is everyone in SL allergic to cats? I don't own property myself; I just wanted to travel through SL with a little buddy, but I guess that's not going to happen. There seem to be more restrictions in SL than in RL. Geeez. My cat is developing a complex. I'd like to start a campaign: Equal Rights for Four-legged Folks!

i warned you this was the case. your cat will probably fail when it gets autoreturned, crosses into a no script parcel or a parcel that forbids object entry. it will likely get left behing when you cross sim lines, when you teleport, or perhaps even if you fly. pets are best left at home.
