Advice on Sales!!

as we all know by now, I am a fashion klutz... heh (mildly put) and do not know much about fashion and what colors to wear with what colors...

so, that being said, I decided to do some research, since my current project is ending up being a 2 to 3 color outfit....

I found this sight, which gave me a nice look at what colors go with which colors and why...

(some I already knew, just.. I dunno, maybe art in highschool or something, the part about complimentary colors and such) but still nice over all to have handy

I'm hoping too take a few classes while i have some spare time on prims and other things. I've taken a couple of classes already today that have given me all the materials from them. Would anyone be interested in the class folders to follow through?

It makes me smile even when I see it happening on the dollarbie items...

and now that I am getting more dollarbie sales than ever before, I can see why some stores put the demo out for 1L (sure we used to have to, but we can set them for 0L now) those 1L's add up and fast

sold 91 of the 1L items today hehe, that is 91 L I would not have had otherwise and 91 of my items being worn, and ppl seeing them and etc...

Now it all makes sense why folks use 1L and freebies the way they do... (I see more 1L stuff going than I do the actual freebies hehe)

The freebies and the 5L formals are going like hotcakes, and I've had a few purchases today! I'm happy. So far, so good! And I'm inspired again, to design. I have about 7 things floating around in my head I've got to get out!

I've sold a few unneeded items from my inventory (prior to just holding my own yardsales - the predecessor to Czari's Attic) to a reseller for pennies on the lindens but never in this way that, as Mickey said in our conversation, is a great win-win for us both! And just got an email that the ceiling fan already sold! Woot! Will be going in world after reading this thread and drop another on you, Mickey!!

Also, I never thought of putting my name AS part of the item description but you're right, the easiest inventory items to find are those that start with the designer's name or at least recognizable descriptions. Will be doing that from now on.

Hi everyone. Got a few question Im hoping to get advice on.

1. Being in Australia, what is the best time to post things in the classifieds etc??? I seem to do it and it gets buried or not looked at , not sure why.

2. I just put two new dresses out, my first ones. I have them set at 200L is this too much???? should i lower them???

3. I set out three freebie boxes. One has a manicure, one has a stool and one has a tattoo. Should I put out something different. I have to get to the freebie groups to send a notice too, i just havent had the time with rl butting in.

Hi Surreal, i've had a look at the designs at SLX and they are lovely and well worth the 200L. The freebie are ok too use, just use what you feel comfortable using.

Are you waiting to be contacted by the Free Groups for the designer tags or do you need a actual invite too the group?

I'm not really sure how to respond to this one, i just post in classifieds when i am finished creating, i'm not really sure if there a specific timeframe that makes it better. Maybe someone else can respond to this better.

I can't upload pics either at the moment for some reason so i have been hosting on flickr lol.

only some of the sub forums allow attaching pictures to your post (and the resident answers is not one of them)

If you are having issues with trying to attach one to a post say, in classifieds (where it is allowed) go to the user CP, then manage attachments (at the bottom) and clear out any old ones you might have in there, if you do not have any not sure what it could be.

check to see if you get an error msg and what the msg is, sometimes the img might be too large.

on a side note, how many of you get to working on soemthing, only to end up going on in a totally different direction?
It is why I have so many unfinished projects

will have a look at the items in a bit surreal and will answer the other questions after I cook dinner

And yes i can relate to unfinished stuff, i have so many I have to go and just add some polish too and they are done, but other things get in the way, I need to write a list again i think, thats the only thing that keeps me on track

Re the pictures- if you host them say on photobucket, they give u a formated bit of code that includes the IMG tags so that it will show up here. Just upload to their site and then paste the tag here.

Little advice for those using AvPainter... when you save your work make sure additional layers such as the color one to check for "spots" isn't still clicked on Just screwed up hours of work
