Continent Names...?

It still drives me bonkers that these are so amazingly geologically inconsistent and follow no discernible continental drift pattern...

This is the map I created for NCI/New Citizens Incorporated. To the best of my knowledge it is accurate.

@Carl; Brilliant! I've been looking for something clear & definitive as that for a while. Mind if I dl it for reference?

I've been kind of focusing on my own stuff lately and havn't been keeping an eye on how things are developing..then Carl's map sent me checking out the area again..loads of land for sale..shopping malls, even a night club..LL's been busy!!

I think you had it right before Carl because Nautilus is the new continent. That's the one with all the water.

I don't think so. The unsold sims there bear the marking "Corsica".

I live on Nautilus and have for months. It is continent 5.

Continent 4 is not Nautilus OR Corsica- I don't know what they call it to be honest.

Corsica is the new continent, as you can see by the selected point corsica_reg7 on the reply map- it's continent 6.

Ok, so other than a -1, no guesses on the server class for the "old" sim?

Lovely map, but Corsica is #6 and is NORTH of Nautilus... it's not even on your map!

#4 is the currently unnamed eastern continent.

Just confirming Capella's info. LL has not yet indicated the name for continent #4, and to date I've never seen even a commonly used resident name for it (other than "the eastern continent". I see Dnali has suggested Satori, but nobody commented on it.

So are we gonna name this sucker or not? Because I'm sure once we agree on a name and get the majority of residents using it, LL will finally tell us what the real name is.

I like Satori, although I think maybe it's too nice a name for what is a rather dull continent.

When you're looking at the map and zoom out to max level - what should happen - is that the names pop up over the continents.

How hard could this be to do?

Let's call the southern continent 'Wootonia' then I can have a claim to fame if it catches on!!!!

I know it best as Bodhasia but would like to suggest the alternative Boomerangia.

#4 is "the Eastern continent" that caused the first land market correction. We should call it "Black Thursday."

Think the name given is that of the specific sim the cursor is hovering over rather than the entire continent.

Also, don't know if it's the same for others but this seems to pack up after the first couple of hoverings on the fully zoomed-out map. If I close & re-open it it then gives me a hovered name once before ceasing to operate.

How about "Eila"? Hindu for "the earth."
