All my close SL friends are RL friends so would know one way or another. SL-only friends would get to know I guess. Morgaine and I met a network of friends through the Starship Titanic forum 10 years ago. One of those friends was a mentor/mediator for us all. I was lucky enough to have met him for real a number of times. He was a wonderful help getting Morgaine and I together. When his wife found him dying from a Deep Vein Thrombosis, his last coherent words were "say goodbye to the forum for me" Deeply missed.

From: Kenbro Utu I have my wife and 2 grown daughters active in SL, so we are covered. Well, my husband used to be, but has backed out over the past few weeks. However, I'm not counting on him being in good enough shape to deal with the issues, if I should die.

Hmm I never thought about it actually. Though my most closest friends on the internet are not even on SL and they all know my RL info. There is one person on SL who I am very close with. She has my RL info too and my ex husband or RL best friend would probably send her an e-mail upon my death since they know of her as well. Though I plan on living forever,so...

Ghosty is my RL partner, so I hope he would be able to hack into my account successfully, we haven't been together long enough for me to start handing over passwords yet; meh, maybe after a year lol. However, he could always come onto the Forum and just give you all the bad news and that would pretty much cover nearly all the people that need to know such awful news.
There's only one or two others on my friend list that aren't part of the Forum. My brother has contact information on one of them from when that person and I were more friendly. The others, I'm not all that close with so it wouldn't matter so much if I dropped out of sight.

I have made RL arrangements that will ensure my business and music outlet will be able to continue should anything untoward happen to my RL avatar. I have organised my presence in SL in such a way that should my RL avatar pass away or become incapacitated that it is essentially self-financing and would require only minimal maintenance.

I wish my ex or not ex partner had done so. I havent heard from her for about 7 days now in rl...she hasnt logged in to sl for about 3 weeks. All i know is she had serious depression (and yes i spoke to her on phone and she was seriously ***** up) and now shes dropped off the face of the earth. For all i know she could be dead  ((( |
