How do the landbots work? Or is that a stupid question, considering there are a zillion lots for sale....maybe the landbots no longer roam around? Are they out of the picture now?

I priced a piece of land really low....to dump it before the next tier fee came due....and it hasn't been picked up yet....maybe not priced low enough? Or no more landbots?

I sold some mainland to a bot maybe 2 months ago. I put it up for 2L/m I think and within 15 seconds it was gone.

Oh yes, I couldn't imagine a land bot buying estate land.

Yes, landbots will only work on mainland, and I don't think there are many about now

Yeah, landbots are not set to search for estate land since you aren't really buying the land there, but renting from the estate owner.

To get a bot to grab Mainland right now, it needs to be set at L$1.4 per meter. LL has devalued the Mainland to the point where it's virtually worthless, unless it's waterfront or in a really prime location.

That's not worthless to people who want to buy land to use it rather than for speculating.

Now the only limit on land ownership left is tier fees.

There are a few, but even few of them are buying right now. Landmachine's bots are still active.

What happened to our resident landbot man, Elanthius? Is he still active with landbots?

I hadn't heard that. Do you know why? Writing on the wall, or too much land at low prices?

Do you mean the forums? His website still appears to be up and running.

Elanthius was a fair landbot person! Under my old avie, my partner and I messed up and sold to a bot, he sold right back in a heartbeat!

Iunno.. he posted about it a while back; he got out of the mainland land flipping business; wasn't enough profit in it to bother anymore, I guess.

He still has some rentals somewhere, though, I think, but his "bot business" is deader than disco.

Estate owners would love that a landbot dumb enought to buy estate land.

Landbot slides in and out like a ninja and takes land for L$2000

Estate owner reposesses land and puts back up for sale at L$2000

Landbod slides in and out like a ninja and takes land for L$2000

Estate owner reposesses land............................

Your quote makes it seem like I'm a bot runner. Bots drove me out of business two years ago. Just wanted to make that clear.

Does not make sense to swap estate land for mainland.

You are mostly correct. Should have said it's worth a lot less to everyone (not just speculators) who bought mainland before LL devalued it.
