casino`s gambling and z$

hi all
ive been away for a while, now im back i noticed theres no more casinos or gambling
i wouldnt mind if i had`nt paid 10`s of 000`s of ls for all the eqipment to open my own casino
has it been banned or can i still build it....if not can i get a refund on all my stuff..if i cant
i think ill build it..as ive heard nothing about gambling being banned...i have noticed how ever z$ ....is this a scam so who ever paid for slots,roulette ect..cant use them...
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP....before i build and get banned LOL

gambling is banned in SL. therefore, casinos are no longer running.

It's banned. Very much banned. Along with non-licensed SL banks.

You can build a casino. You just can't gamble for anything of value or pay out winnings.

Did you buy it back in the day but never used it - or did you buy it recently?

You would hope any place still selling gambling equipment would include warning signs.

Yes even Lindens play it lol They get around the ban the same way the pinchino parlors in japan do works pretty good !

The actual law that the ban is based on may get repealed.

There was some controversy over it - since it was snuck as a rider into a "must pass bill"

No I don't think you should build it. Under the current rules you could get in trouble.

I just mean don't delete all your gambling stuff since the ban might get lifted.

But yes, they might be legal until this loophole is closed. If the credit card companies don't like it, it will be closed.

Just because a few Lindens do something does not mean it is allowed. The Lindens vary widely in how they individually police the grid.

It would be an ad IF and only IF I owned or operated gambling in sl I dont but I do play the machines.. must be awaful to know someone is having fun gambling in sl for ya huh?

I enjoy RL gambling, and get annoyed when people get preachy about it so I say hav at it if it is out there if that's what you want to do. I tried SL casinos the last time around and found them to be boring, lacking any of the excitement of RL gaming. Plus, there is no guarantee they are on the level.

There appers to be a loophole allowing it, and as usual LL isn't saying much about it.
