Goddamn it. I can DL SL onto this stupid laptop but I can't install it because I have a limited account and not an administrative account.
Anybody here know a way around that other than getting an administrative account which is going to be a several days sort of process? I've got the system specs I need to run it, I just can't install. _____________________

Haven't been to Carp in ages, would be fun to go, but Saturday nogo I only use WiFi at home, both with a three year old laptop and my main computer, and never had any trouble with it...it the connection's good enough, it's perfectly alright (it should be a 54 mbit connection, not an 11...) _____________________

I would have done the same Trout. IT guys will *never* give up the administrator password. And that's the reason that user accounts generally don't have much in the way of permissions - it's to keep the network safe!! I'm not even on the network. I'm on a borrowed computer stuck in a hotel room on a trip right now. At any rate, the IT guy isn't even the one I talked to. I ended up with a guy who didn't even know what an admin account is. bummer. I'm working on it. _____________________

I missed the CARP outing. Was it fun? There were about 300 avatars trying to get into CARP. The SIM, oddly enough, was still on-line. It was extremely laggy, though, so we all returned to the club house. Then I crashed. I think people were going to do something with the capture tags at the clubhouse, but I do not know if that happened, as I had crashed. _____________________
