From: foehn Breed Not having a clue, but it would be cool if you could export WL settings to other ppls? The goal is to eventually make Windlight settings an inventory item that can be given away/sold like everything else. Sim owners will be able to force Windlight settings through the estate tools on their sim, everyone else is left with handing out notecards on arrival asking people to import this and set that which few will probably end up doing.

That would be great, I could see the market for it, otherwise all anyone can do is pass out Namssors' suggested WL settings image.

Selling Windlight settings? That's sorta like selling graphical preferences when you can easily do it yourself.

I'm not sure there'd be enough of a market to sell the settings, but being able to package them up as something that could be easily transferred would be a good thing. I imagine, for instance, someone making an island where it’s best viewed with the sky purple and the water blood red. Then they could give those settings away so people can enjoy the sim the way it was meant. Also, something that applies to the graphics settings as well, I would like to be able to save named packages of settings. It would be cool to be able to create a “lowest possible lag” settings package that I can easily set when in laggy areas, a “highest view quality” settings package say for taking pictures, and a “normal” one for everyday use. Then be able to switch by picking names from a dropdown instead of having to change all the settings manually. --Hugsy

At some point in the near(ish) future, estate owners are supposed to be able to set their own defaults, so the only way you CAN see it is the way they want you to. Which is nice, but still leaves the mainland screwed.
