Scripted Wings?

my material squirrel wings def have an 'embrace' function in the xcite menu.
can tell you how it works though cos i dont embrace people.

Disclaimer - I scripted the wings for Material Squirrel, and my wife owns and runs the business.

Amaranthim - did you try them out on the demo stands? The wings in the stands only have a small subset of the functions of the actual wings, just to give you a taste of what they can do. The purchased wings have an 'embrace' function that folds the prims around to the front. I'll be the first to admit that it works better with some wing designs than others, mostly because I only have so much control over what I can do to a flexi prim. So you may or may not be satisfied with the results.

Feel free to IM me in-world if you'd like to see this for yourself.

Edit: And as others have mentioned, you can set the wings to shrink the prims into your av's body, so there won't be any transparent prims around to interfere with clicking on objects around you.

Oh Ziggy! I did not know that about the limited display in the try-ons. I saw the big warning about trying them and no returns, etc- so didn't want to risk it. I may be able to come in-world even now - and would love to try it out! Which ones do you recommend for this? I don't have a "look" in mind- I am a humanoid avi and this is my first experiment with wings I don't see my self changing my avi much so if they will go with my usual style - ball gowns mostly - that would be great - I don't have a color preference either- but proly not white. Let me know when will be convenient for you.

Hi Ziggy! I have the Winter Frost wings, upgraded ... the embrace is very very sweet with big wings like those.

Is the wing script available for purchase anywhere, for personal use only? Copy perms only would be fine ... I script, but I've been looking for one to start from, and a forum search didn't turn up a good starting point either ...

Amaranthim - Messaged you in-world, and gave you a couple of sets of wings to try out. Also, all our wings are tintable, so sometimes a white base is the best choice to get a good color match to an outfit.

Glad you found something you liked. Just use the rename command and call them "Amaranthim's cute and totally harmless wings", and you're all set
