Ok so forget the title above lmao. I wanna find a Good RP to get into, Maybe like a Scary Adventure type or just somthing fun, PLease if anyone wants to give me any advice just say sooo and COMMENT HERE!!!

Why am I picturing like, when Gizmo ate after midnight and little Gizmo Gremlins popped out of him? Only it's Jig and Coraline?

RP opportunities are not hard to find in Search.

In a recent thread, somebody mentioned Deadwood and Tombstone, if you're into the Wild West sorta thing.

There are the various dark post-apocalyptic places, with names I always forget. Toxia is one, I think, and Midian City (is that right?), and a whole cluster of... Nor-something-or-other. (Can you tell I didn't spend much time there?)

I guess if you want to fight and be bad, there's also Gor; you sound like good Panther material, if you can cope with a particularly intricate, insane, and poorly written backstory. (Fortunately, most in-world Gor is a lot better than the original books--not that that's saying much.)

Erie Isle. I think it would be prefect for you.

The Wasteland. Wonderful role play sims with interesting ongoing group activities. Post Apocalyptic with wonderful sim owner.

Disclaimer: I have no connection with The Wasteland..just think its a great place.

The Crack Den is a popular RP area for contemporary corrupt city life and crime.

Midian City is another popular RP area of a dystopian futuristic city.

It's not really my thing, but a friend of mine sometimes combines her taste for the absurd with capture role-play, and goes off hunting in unexpected guises. The psychotic cheerleader is a favourite persona, but the best one has to be as a member of band of predatory smurfs.

Perhaps surprisingly, there are some capture role-play sims where she's welcome. I'll get the names for you, if you're interested.

I wandered accidently into the Crack Den a little over a year ago and haven't left yet..I personally reccomend it..it's always busy and the people are freaking awesome there...

Depending on your tastes you can be/do almost anything within pixel limits. Melita Insula is Greek, Transarcadia is sci-fi, The Hunger and Bloodlines bite back and depending on the clan depends on the vamp/were RP.

Yes deffinately give this one try, it's not really my scene, but if your into drugs, raping and beating women it's a great place.

Sands of Persia is ancient history roleplaying; seems neat though I've never been involved.

I find that most of these places are much tamer then you would expect. Although the dark aspects certainly are there.

Must admit it was a while ago and I actually visited with a female avi, I was told to get on a rack, one guy beat my avi with a riding crop and the other raped my avi. Fair enough I didn't hear anything about drugs though so I'll take that one back lol.

I've always wished roleplay was more interactive. I joined a Trekkie one once in teh thought that we'd be in a starship and the interactions would be off-the-cough fun. But it just meant people saing things like

"Merlin1500 orders Jig to polish the deck behind teh Captain's chair"
and me going "Wha? I'm from Gamelang NixDov - I dont do dishes"
Then "Merlin1500 requests Jig to do as she is told to suit the parameters of the role play"
Me: ""What role play? I havent done any role play yet. I'm wearing a dumpy Hud and being told to do as I'm told - pi** off"
So it all ended up with me getting trapped in some slave market in Rome and no one buying me coz I wasnt busty enough and I actually "looked like a tramp" to men who were actually looking for tramps but didnt know it.
Hal rescued me by bidding some ridiculous sum and the slave master had teh cheek to say "Good luck, mate" as I stalked off and Hal was left to pay at the counter.

Zindra itself is role play I always reckon.

It is unfortunately the sad side to SL, but is ultimately at some point all that will be left once the SL bubble bursts, hence LL's Adult move. At some point the core users of SL who I'm thinking waste around 4 - 5 hours a night inworld will realise that owning land, having a prim house with prim furniture and wasting real money dressing a virtual character in the latest fashion accesories is totally pointless. Once this occurs the only thing left will be sex, sex, sex.

Trouble is, I spend at least four or five hours a day in real doing exactly the same thing and just as much at night in REAL encouraging other people to do so. SL is our mirror - maybe a dark one which we hold a candle up to - but it's our mirror, nonetheless.

I walked all through Stepford for ages, totally unmolested. I must need to adjust my sliders.

I've begun to think that it's impossible to explain the difference in one's feelings about RL violence toward ANYONE, and the lure of using SL to safely play out fantasies. It seems so obvious to me.

I can honestly say that this will never happen to me.
