Using the Amnesia account to run the shop sounds good, as people might be loath to give money to a Kahn man.  2 Users Groaned. Khan/Amnesia: Just play in SL for a while (like a month or so, or more!) Get to know the place, the people, the styles. You might decide that you hate clothes and you want to build spaceships. You might decide that you want to just screw around and not run a business at all (many folks are here for the sheer pleasure of it.) SL is for FUN! If no one has mentioned it yet, Search for the Forum Cartel Hangout. It's a community-owned (meaning us here in the Forums) tavern/lounge/helipad/surfing/jacuzzi/jetski/bullriding hangout sort of place. You'll find a bunch of free information n stuff, along with some notecards of fun places to go. Also check out the freebie spots; I'd recommend Sarah Nerd's freebies place (search under her name.) _____________________

I'll stick with this one for my main account I think... Can I just use the Amnesia one for running shops/displaying clothes etc? And use my Kahn account for the main business things (i.e: talking to people, etc). If I understood you correctly why would you want to do this? You could, but it seems like more of a hassle. When people enter your shop they are going to IM the creator of the items. And believe me, most of them do not even read profiles. So if your profile says "Please IM Amnesia Fahng for customer service"...you will still get a chunk of CS IM`s on Kahn. Not to mention you will have to keep jumping back and forth on accounts. I never understood how people could keep up with ALTs _____________________

Welcome Amnesia Fhang, I think the name is cool.
If you go to texture forum there is different things. There is Clothes Previewer or something like that I saw on top of the Texture Forum but I never could figure out how to use it maybe you'll have better luck then I do with it. Daz studio is free and will let you preview clothes. Hey Sassy, do you know how to use Daz to do that can you tell me, us how for those who don't know how? _____________________

To be honest, I wasn't bothered about having Amnesia as my main account... but I thought if I ever want to be "remembered" Amnesia might be the way to go? not sure! |

You can transfer the Lindens using the Pay Option between accounts. For objects, if they are transferrable, you can move them between accounts. If they are copiable, you can have one in each inventory, if they are not copiable, it will be in only one inventory. |

My alt had been being charged a "group liability" over the months. Okay... loads of information to take in here!
I started messing around with creating some t-shirts last night... although I have realised I'm actually using CS3 (not 4 like I thought) so it doesn't have the 3D feature... Anyway, i've been practicing with seams and the like. I've also turned the graphics up a little, and OH WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I saw Sassy's "sim" last night, and there was a lot of detail going on there. Talking about groups - I have no idea about joining groups, but I think that's maybe something for later on! Although technically.... Sassy managed to recruit me into her "dancing with a a pink thong" group haha! I've decided to stick with Kahn Bellic, I have some $L on it and a couple of items... plus I've grown to like the name and it sounds more male (and neutral). I.e: If I decide clothing isn't my thing, or I just want to have fun... it sounds like more of a neutral name to do all those things with. Bring on 6pm (9 hours) and I can get back on SL! Edit: Which means I should probably log back in with that account! |

I bought a "skin template" off slx some time back and it came with the sl_female_2_skin.daz and associated mesh .obj files which you load into Daz. This is all I manage to do, load it up and then you select textures for upper/lower/head etc. As others have said, you get the same on the beta grid on a real av *if* you can get to the beta grid, at the time I couldn't. |
