Try this link:

http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Getting_Linden_Dollars_FAQ

Really, though, the best way can be found here:

https://secure-web20.secondlife.com/account/billing.php?lang=en

Or use any of the exchanges on the Linden Risk API, listed here:

(Post title) - Any constructive suggestions ???
The first link that I gave you *was* constructive, if you bothered to read it. I suspect, though, you just want someone else to do your legwork and provide you with a detailed list. Hopefully, someone will come along and offer you a job or tell you exactly where to go for one, but I wouldn't count on it.

Alternately, you could use this forum's search facility to find other posters' questions on earning money in Second Life. There have been a lot of threads started about that, and you may find hints and tips from other residents on those.

Basically in sl you won't be hired to do something your employer can do himself or give to a bot/program.

There is pretty much no burger flipping jobs in SL.

There are classes offered in-world on a myriad of different subjects/skills. The best thing you could do is to attend as many of them as you can. Find out for yourself what you might enjoy learning....and practice doing it everyday untill you can do it better than anyone else. Then come up with something that you think other people may want to buy....and sell it!!

In other words, learn a skill that's relevant to SL and put it to good use... :)

Unskilled labor jobs are almost non-existent in SL. If you want to earn money in SL, you first need to learn at least one useful skill, and apply that skill to some sort of creative endeavor in SL. That might be making textures, building things, scripting, making clothes... But in ALL these endeavors, there are a LOT of people already doing it, and who have a lot more experience than you do. Just like in the real world, it takes a lot of time and effort, and no small amount of skill and luck, to be truly successful.

In terms of time spent versus profit earned... If you have no skills at this time that are applicable to SL, you are better off spending the time working at a minimum wage real-world job, and using the wages to buy L$. Seriously. The few tasks that require minimal skills in SL that you might find as "help wanted" type jobs all pay far less than a real-world minimum wage job, unless you live in some terribly depressed third-world economy in RL.

There are places I consider scams in world because basically they harvest your personal contact information and hopes of you buying one of their products and access to your credit card or bank information in the promise they will give you L$500 which is little over 1 usd.
Some friends I know use them but I wouldn't fill out questionnaires and give my personal information out to some place that going to use it to spam me. I have made that mistake years ago from those browsers that say they will pay you for surfing or feeling out questionnaires and I won't do it again.
If you want to earn money every week you can for 9.99 a month or less if you pay for it yearly or quarterly get tier for 512m lot and 300 L$ a week without doing anything

They do exist. But he already ruled out camping and the money trees. :p

Edit: Scratch that. The latter actually do take some skill to be of use. ;)

I find the crossover between Ceera's and Novis's post intriuging. Ceera admits that the SL content market is no longer the engine of personal creative development that it once was, but Novis reflects the other viewpoint, that "lack of skill" is laziness, rather than lack of RELATIVE skill being inevitable for 80% of the population.

Which is right and which is the common view? And do they match?

There are unskilled jobs - such as hosting at clubs, or providing customer service for the few stores/real estate dealers that offer those jobs. You just have to keep your eyes peeled on the classifieds for them. Most low wage jobs, however, are so low that you are better off getting a rl job flipping burgers for a few hours to buy the L.

I do not mean to be rude, but if I was going to post on a forum, asking to be recommend for a job, I would want to put my best image out there and using bad grammar and text-speak is most definitely not the way to do that.

Therefore, I am going to go on the assumption that English is not your native language. In that case you will either need to get a job in a completely non-English part of SL or you will need to improve your grammar/spelling/punctation quite a bit.

*scratches head* I said that...?

Hm, maybe it can be read that way. What I meant though was that you can certainly make a fair amount of money doing low-skill "jobs" like camping, picks camping and the trees, but from how the OP's post is phrased, it looks like he is rather looking for an easy way to make more money fast. But since gambling and banks are outruled now - no chance for that, eh? ;)

this public forum is open to the many countries around the world who use SL. it is very egotistical to expect everyone who posts here to have a firm grasp of the English language. Lil, i'm surprised at your intolerance.

My response was not intolerant.

I specifically said I was not trying to be rude and I said that I was going to assume that English was not the primary language due to the way the original post was constructed.

If they do want an SL job, the reality is that they either will have to develop better English grammar and spelling skills or stick to a completely non-English environment.

There is nothing intolerant in those statements.

Well then I did badly at conveying my message there. My intent (in my original answer) was to give constructive feedback without being harsh and rude like so many of Pep's responses. And I commented such to Pep and then I was simply laughing and congratulating him at his exaggerated response to my comment about him and his usual method of responding.

Of course, I think I have now even confused myself in the above response, but hopefully if read enough times, it will make sense.
