You mean you wouldn't prefer a 100% mesh-only virtual world? If it is anything like the avatar mesh, a resounding hell no! heh _____________________

oh yes please ,peoples , wear MORE color changing scripts, show.hide scripts and resizing scripts, we sim owners love seeing that no matter how complicated our sim scripts are, the avatars still top the charts by far.

not sure why you would consider it lazy to make a shoe to fit a size 0 foot (the most common foot size out there) is it the fault of the shoe maker or the shape maker? Either way it is not lazy, because they are still making the shoe or the shape... If it were laziness, wouldn't the shoe maker just not make the shoe? Same amount of work goes into making it size 0 or size 10, etc. The difference is being able to realistically carry all the sizes needed to fit size 0 to 100 foot size give or take. (yes I know people do not use size 100 foot LOL) why would a shoe maker make a shoe to fit a larger than size 0 foot, THEN have it so that it can not be sized down to a size 0 foot (due to some pieces being minimum size prims already)? If anything I think the size 0 shoe is perfect, it can be sized up. WHEN they even let you size them up, some shoe makers are so worried that someone just might steal their oh so unique "style" that they are willing to force their customers to a single shoe size. _____________________

I can't speak for many creators, but the color picker Raorth uses is quite low impact, single script. I should know I wrote it ![]() _____________________

My SL closet is well-stocked, but I've never understood the appeal of prim feet. Please tell me why people spend large amounts of on money on these things when: 1. They're giant sculpties and thus take longer to rez. 2. They require that you use their AO rather than your own. They often go out of alignment when using any involved anims such as dancing. 3. They require you to attach giant invisiprims to your ankle or give you permanent Elephantiasis. 4. They require a bit of work to find the right skin tone. 5. They interact badly with any building elements that have alpha. Why do people go so far for stiff-looking toes? Do people cam on each other and judge each other based on one's perfect pedicure? I think the main market for such shoes are foot fetishists and xcite has a foot already for them... Please advise me if I am incorrect any of these assumptions.. I love shoes, I make shoes and I buy shoes... I dont do prim feet..... and I found the most fantastic pair of shoes.... OMG I loved them.. drooled over them... didn't buy them because they had prim feet.. "sigh" (and of course half the time I forget to put on my shoes) |

Well. I only wear J's when it comes to showing any kind of prim feet.
The very popular sculpty'whole foot' shoe right now that everyone is grabbing on xstreetsl or making shoes from the sculpty kit is so common that i would never consider wearing it. EVERYONE has it. It completely buried the over priced Stiletto Moody version, which i am pleased to see. But it is so so common everywhere. I can't go to a club without seeing several women in those shoes - often times not matching their skin tone. J's make a nice 'toe' shoe. But now that i am in much darker skin tone, i am finding it impossible to match my toe color on the shoes to the skin - so no more toe shoes for me until a easier way of color matching comes about and with a sculpty prim foot/shoe that is not over-used. _____________________

I can't speak for many creators, but the color picker Raorth uses is quite low impact, single script. I should know I wrote it ![]() heh it was originally written by Void, but then added and enhanced upon, even so it still has an extremely low impact. (I could get the script usage numbers if needed, since I am an estate manager on a sim, I could remove all other scripted objects from myself, but only that one thing on with the scripts, and then look at top scripts) (and the way it is now void, it is 2 scripts in each shoe, plus the hud has the scripts corresponding scripts, but as I said, still extremely low impact) It is not always the number of scripts, but the quality of the scripts. I have seen some folks rank very high on the top scripts, yet say they are only using a couple scripted objects... _____________________

I also have that kit, and made shoes from it, was unsure if they would sell because of the glut of them in the market, but they are selling, and I have gotten comments from customers that they love it and are very pleased with the ability to tint AND that they are as nice as moody's heh I have also mixed and matched kits, to come up with different shoes, and it works I am finding that making shoes is fun (just doing the ads is what sucks LOL) heck my store is gonna end up being taken over by footwear hehe (I know I know, just what we need ANOTHER shoe store) _____________________

I have one pair of J's. They were very easy to match fortunately or else they would have been trashed quickly. I only bought them because I really liked the shoes themselves. They are the only pair of prim toe shoes I own. _____________________

They are JUST as good looking as *moodys*, have just as many options and 1/4 the price. Win all around ~Brie |

Win all around ~Brie I bought two pair, and couldn't match them with any of the presets. I binned them. _____________________

SLink, although Vinyl Cafe's are decent too. But I haven't tried to match the skin tones with the Vinyl Cafe ones.
Can't beat their price though. Join their group and they run the prim shoes as a freebie very often. |
