From: Rhaorth Antonelli ... and I will be doing updates on my blog so anyone who wishes to follow along can, and hopefully going public with it, will also help me stay motivated (Hope you don't mind me quoting that much...I'll delete it if you do *smiles*) I'll be following your blog because I need to drop some weight and am finding it incredibly hard to get motivated. As for the scale "sticker shock" - when I go to the Dr. I tell them to NOT tell me my weight. I mean, I'm the same person before I hear "the number" pronounced, but somehow hearing it depresses me. I can tell my approximate weight gain/loss by how my clothes fit so I rarely step on a scale.

From: Pixieplumb Flanagan 44 is still young... I second that...would love to be 44 again. 40's were a wonderful time in my life. As trite as it sounds, one is truly only as old as they feel. (This has nothing to do with Rha...just on a stream of consciousness thought here as this is something that has come up a lot in my life.) The women in our family look on average 10 years younger than their chronological ages. Good genes I suppose. And I feel at least 10 years younger than my chronological age. On the other hand, I have a friend who is 20 years younger than I and says he feels like he's "old." That always amazes me.
