I've had my share of common or garden caging and orbiting, but the strangest (would-be)griefer I have met so far was at an infohub. he chased after me with an enormous gun shouting, "Stay still girl so I can shoot you!" So I turned round and approached this av and said, "Goodness <name>, you have a bigger one than anyone else " "Oh, do you like it?", he replied, "Would you like a copy?" "I think it's amazing!", I said, "I'd love to have a copy, if the permissions allow it." "Yes - I've just made it", was the reply - and he gave me a copy. I am now the possessor of an enormous gun, larger than my normal avatar, supposedly with the capability of blasting anyone out of the sim and I have no idea at all how to shoot it! Maybe, I should give it to Trout?

From: Har Fairweather I've posted this one before, but it fits here: On Help Island a tiny hedgehog avatar walked up to my alt and started peeing on the alt's leg, quicly producing a huge yellow puddle completely surrounding the alt. I was laughing too hard to orbit the bugger.
Best one I ever heard of, though, was the time somebody got a bunch of protestors together at a Gorean sim, all dressed up in Abraham Lincoln avatars and carrying protest signs saying "Free The Slaves." Priceless. Meade? Didn't we housebreak her!!?? I had forgotten about the Free The Slaves griefing. That has to be one of the top five SL griefing incidents in history. My hat is off to whomever dreamt that one up. Pure comic genius.

From: Rosey Richez That happened to me. Was with a friend taking pictures and this kid walks up to us with a revolver and says if we don't give him $5L he is gonna blast us. We were laughing so hard. It was absolutely ridiculous LMAO I'd give him $4L. If he insists on the full amount, I'd ask him if he has change for a 20. If he's on my land, I wouldn't ban him (right away) or anything...I'd just disable scripts (I already have object entry and build disabled) and then enable damage.

From: Djamila Marikh A new AV walks up to me on my land where I am trying to build a house, starts shooting me. I tell him to knock it off, keeps shooting me. I cagegun him, figuring I will freeze and eject him when he gets out. But he is so new he does not know how to get out.
"Now you're going to apologize and then quietly walk off my land." (he'll surely tp out right ? nope....)
He pulls out a bigger gun and bounces himself around inside the cage.
"Apologize."
Bigger gun, bounces himself more wildly around the inside of the cage.
A few moments of silence. "I'm sorry."
I take off the cage and he starts walking away...stops. "Can I have one of those ?"
"No."
"Okay."
Walks off never to be seen again. LMAO This one cracks me up. Sounds like you might have been visited by one of my partner's "pretend I'm a griefer for S&G's" moments.

Not so much a griefing, but something that still had my partner and I laughing our arses off; at least, once the initial frustration had worn off. Some time ago, a newbie flew into the bedroom of our home before the world had fully rezzed for her, and since there was no way out upstairs she decided to brass it out and walk downstairs...
...past the pair of us, who were busy testing some poseballs. The less said about that, the better, but suddenly we found ourselves with an audience. She was asked to leave, and said she didn't know how to. My partner (getting somewhat frustrated) yelled "Use the f*cking door!", but Miss Newbie either couldn't see the door, or had a thing for watching two guys together, because she promptly sat down and made herself comfortable.
At that point, I opened the door for her and firmly told her to leave. She got up and did so, but before she was out of chat range, my partner muttered some insult along the lines of, "Bitch". Seconds later, she came back in and demanded an apology. Furthermore, she said, she wouldn't leave until she got that apology.
Needless to say, she didn't get it, and her name was added to the parcel ban list PDQ.
Talk about dampening your ardour...

Are you sure it wasn't Trout?

I was working on a skyclub project at a Chelsea Sandbox when a curious newbie turned up and started asking all sorts of questions about building. I took some time to show them how things were done. They offered me various bits of useless advice too, strangely. Then I explained I had to go and they said I must clear everything away before I go. As that was the sandbox rule I did so, but missed one or two bits. The newbie insisted I cleared every last prim otherwise they'd have to report me and have me banned from the sandbox. That's what I call gratitude! And....... From: someone Umnik Hax gave me L$1 I saw him once when I was looking at some land. I was too meek to speak to an SL celebrity!

From: Ann Launay Are you sure it wasn't Trout? I wouldn't have apologized. I would have played along with being caged: I'm John McCain! You can't keep me in this cage forever, Charlie! I'll escape and become leader of the free world you little creep! or, "Get your hands off me you damn dirty ape!" Drops to knees at the sight of the ruined Statue of Liberty. "It was us! We did this!" or, /me rezzes a tin can and clanks it across the bars of the cage. "Let me outta here copper! You know I'm innocent, see? Myah, myah...Innocent I tells ya!" or, "I would have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for those meddling kids and their dog!"

I got told I had a nice ass once. Then he said "mak fuk now?" I guess that doesn't really count as griefing. You all have much funnier stories than me!

Priceless. *grins* I was there when this happened. Not at a Gorean sim but at Bondage Ranch (although the Abes might have also visited Gorean sims; I would have in their place). I was falling about laughing, but someone got all high and mighty and started arguing with them. "We're not *actually* slaves... it's a valid lifestyle choice etc." Which all may be very true, but somehow I think the Abes knew that

i've been ...
Fire-bombed, orbited, shot during cyber, visited by a maturbating guy riding a flying cow, photographed naked via cam zoom, spied on by a UFO in my skybox, chat spammed, sound effect spammed, Visiting when a sim was crashed/attacked, and had my club boycotted by a group of people.
I never bothered filing an AR on any of it. And I still think that griefing is a far overblown problem in second life.

Noooooo a woman getting off watching 2 men getting it off. Shameful! she certainly should have waited for an invite at least!!! Sadly nothing so funny as some of these but slightly amusing. As a newbie I was at a sandbox doing what I normally do (stand there looking bloody useless) and next thing I know I'm soaring through the air. So naturally I scratch my head (headlice!!) and return to Sandbox and yes again I found myself flying oh so gracefully though the air. Won't confess how many times this actually happened before the penny sunk and I didn't bother returning. Had the usual naked men with big cocks hanging out chase me. I wonder does this ploy EVER work???

If I'd been feeling in a more exhibitionist mood... But hell, intimate moments and all that. There's a time and a place, and what we were doing wasn't it! *g*

When I was griefed for the first time I had barely heard there WAS such a thing.
I was walking on a beach and two avies appeared and within a short period of time they dropped three successively larger cages around me, a box around that, shot me with bullets, dropped a bomb on me, then wacked me with light sabers. Then they disappeared and I IM'ed more experienced friends to ask them what I should do about this. LOL

Hax also ran me down with a car and killed me three times with a gun. My being-griefed score is pitifully low, but at least it was done by a celebrity. There's some measure of consolation in that.

Not griefing, but amusing. At Ahern I watched a furry in medieval garb and a big shiny robot trade insults for a while. But then they fell out of those roles and the robot got to talking about how he made his avatar. The furry told the robot how he could turn on that special shiny setting that you can only set from the debug menu. The robot was delighted to see himself with the setting. Face it, we are all geeks under the metal and fur.
