Well since we ain't got moderators...

What's the funniest "griefer" incident you ever had or witnessed. Sometimes griefers are annoying, but sometimes they are funnier then John Cleese.

1. I was standing in a snowdrift last winter cleanin out my inventory, and a woman comes by and drops a roof on me.

...like I wasn't even worth a whole house.

WTF???

2. I was talkin to a friend of mine in a sandbox who was building. This kid walks up with the smallest gun I have seen in SL. He fires a huge prim bullet out of it & for a split second, we actually see my friend go flyin to about 3 Sims away.

3. I was showin a newbie around, and took them to the Million Dollar Skin Lab for a free skin. the place was full of avs wearing light blue and a lotta bling. After a few seconds they all opened fire w/ dildo guns, and kept at it until we left almost 3 minutes later.

They didn't say a word in open chat.

4. I was sittin on a motorcycle in Miramere early last year when a pretty ridiculous skinny, blinged-out, shirtless, tilted baseball cap wearing kid comes up with a shiny chrome gun and the "Snoop Override" and starts threatening all of us sitting around the benches.

A "Cop" pulls up after a few minutes of us embarrassing the already ridiculous griefer and gets out, claiming he'll call "the SWAT team" if this guy doesn't "cease and desist".

Not 5 minutes later, while the "thug" and the "cop" are arguing... a black van pulls up, "The Punisher" steps out and starts blasting dual submachine guns. Both of them vanished from view...the "Punisher" gets back in the van and drives away.

Some of us were so confused that we couldn't even laugh.

I flew after the Punisher & got his name & he actually became one of my associates for a while, supplying hours and hours of in-character comedy gold.

I really haven't seffured much grief. Once some clown caged me at a park somewhere. I was working on my Inventory so didn't even notice it for a while. Once I did, I just continued to work and insult his manhood and geneology until he got bored and left.

One other time, while flying the Huey, a Brazilian Guy kept coming in and asking for sex, no matter how many times I ejected him he kept coming back. Finally I just pushed the stick forward to full speed, pointed the ship toward a building and bailed out.

I was at an almost unused hub for a community and a very new person pulled out a caging gun and caged me three times in a row, I would get out only to be caged again, then he got very insulted that it might upset me when I asked him to stop.

The most ridiculous griefing I've ever personally received was somebody repeatedly trying to run me down with the plywood newbie car while I was helping out in the sandbox area on a HI. I went non-phys. The results were amusing. :)

The most ridiculous griefing I've ever heard of... stickups for L$. They just make me boggle. :)

You had me sitting at my desk laughing my literal ass off. Very vivid images Xio.

I guess I don't get out enough because I've never been so lucky as to witness these kind of funnies. The funniest griefing I've ever experienced is that from my partner. He has a Quantum, which isn't allowed in most battle and kill enabled sims, so he likes to use it on me occasionally cause he know's I'm the only one in SL who won't AR his ass for bringing it out. I've been turned into a hamburger, a huge shake and bullied with his ring around the rosy "your an idiot hahahaha" singing kids to the point I'm seriously starting to reconsider ARing his butt.

Oh wait...I take that back. I was once chased and run over in a large mall by a guy in a Dukes of Hazard car.

I hired a guy - he kept harassing the women and was fired. Ever since then once a month he makes a new alt and an elaborate story to get hired again. Then he harasses the women and gets fired again. Each time he gets fired he announces "I am Mivick! And I will destroy you!"

The first time I was griefed was silly more because I didn't even know it, I just thought it was lag, I simply drifted up instead of down! ;) It wasn't until afterward I read about orbiting.

FOr me, it's gotta be the DISSENTION cubes as a class. I flew through a mainland region stuffed with 'em a couple weeks ago, and it felt... quaint, even nostalgic. They just weren't harming my performance, and just looked silly.

Then again, I recall laughing at the time the grid was taken down by a grey goo of honking badminton birdies.

Not griefing itself, but there was a time some n00b with a gun that was trice the size of his avatar was threatening to "shoot me all the way to the teen grid where I belong." I had to explain more than a few things to dat one.

That happened to me. Was with a friend taking pictures and this kid walks up to us with a revolver and says if we don't give him $5L he is gonna blast us. We were laughing so hard. It was absolutely ridiculous LMAO

not a funny griefing just... strange

I used to go to help island public a lot to help out, and one guy there was constantly annoying me

anywho he decided to grief me by spamming the entire island with particles.. ok not unusual right....

however the particles were pics of me, RL pic of me (same one I posted here)
not hard to find me on the web so my guess is he went to the web and found my pic...

ok still not really all that strange right?

well he edited the pic and put...
dead sexy on it

and um ... that is supposed to be griefing how????

*shrug*

other than that only a couple incidents of being orbitted from a couple places, shot at once, and um.. that is all

This continued every 20 secs or so till I finished work and tp'd. home .I was laughing so much my sides ached.

A new AV walks up to me on my land where I am trying to build a house, starts shooting me. I tell him to knock it off, keeps shooting me. I cagegun him, figuring I will freeze and eject him when he gets out. But he is so new he does not know how to get out.

"Now you're going to apologize and then quietly walk off my land." (he'll surely tp out right ? nope....)

He pulls out a bigger gun and bounces himself around inside the cage.

"Apologize."

Bigger gun, bounces himself more wildly around the inside of the cage.

A few moments of silence. "I'm sorry."

I take off the cage and he starts walking away...stops. "Can I have one of those ?"

"No."

"Okay."

Walks off never to be seen again.

The only silly one I can think of occurred at the last Last Call sale. A bunch of us were loitering at the sim borders trying to get in and some Crow-wannabe avatar showed up and started shooting at us. However, his gun had absolutely no affect...it didn't push or orbit and the land wasn't damaged enabled, so basically he just put off a bunch of particles and got really frustrated by our lack of reaction. His repeated attempts did give us plenty of time to AR him though. :)

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Lol - I've done that for comic effect. I have a freebie pistol somewhere in my inventory. Every once in a while, I pull it out. The last time was with a friend from here in the forums. she can out herself if she wants.

Bang, Bang Bang (no effect)

/me looks at his gun disgustedly, then clubs you over the head with it and steals your wallet

Trout Recreant: Please transfer all your Lindens to me...I need to buy a bigger gun, and according to the ToS, once mugged, you are obligated to pay me all of your money.

Her: I think you might be retarded.

A griefer in Sandbox Island assaulted me with a couch a while back. I had forgotten to go non-phys and got shoved around a bit at first. It was quite amusing. :D

That definitely wasn't his goal...he was yelling not very nice things the whole time, along with a periodic, "Why won't you die?!" interjected. ;)

I've posted this one before, but it fits here: On Help Island a tiny hedgehog avatar walked up to my alt and started peeing on the alt's leg, quicly producing a huge yellow puddle completely surrounding the alt. I was laughing too hard to orbit the bugger.

Best one I ever heard of, though, was the time somebody got a bunch of protestors together at a Gorean sim, all dressed up in Abraham Lincoln avatars and carrying protest signs saying "Free The Slaves." Priceless.

Was sitting and talking with a friend on her land, and this dude duck-walks up and stands there for about 5 minutes. We keep asking him if we can help him (Her land is a few shops and such), etc, and eventually said 'mora agorra' and pulled out what appeared to be a triple-sized m16....and started shooting.

Of course, this land was no build, so we just heard 'clakclakclakclakclak' as he wandered in circles and tried to shoot us....

I figured out that he'd said 'die now' in Portuguese, and just watched him duckwalk a bit more. My friend didn't at the time know that she could eject people, and we were both laughing anyway.. he ended up getting stuck in the pond and couldn't seem to figure out how to jump :D

Told him to give up (In portuguese, I love babelfish), and he stood in a corner clak-claking away for a bit... so I told my friend how to eject him. A couple minutes later we notice him duckwalking past the land, still clak-claking his little heart out...
