"I'm siiingin' in the rain, (smash! crunch!)
Just siiingin' in the rain, (kick! maim!)
What a glorrrrious feelin',
I'm haaaaapy again..." (punch! punch!)

:p

Meade, I agree that HUD is amazing. Fun just to play with the demo, but also really cool to rez a tornado and run it amuck across your land at home. :)

I thought the debris was a particularly nice touch, as is the ability for everyone around it to get sucked up into it.

I just went to try the demo is fun! :)

Today's inquiry:

The weather is usually quite pleasant in SL, but on occasion, I'd just like to run through a rainstorm, a thunderstorm...some storm.

I have happened upon sims where the weather has been stormy, but I have no recollection of where I was at the time. (of course, did I make a landmark? no...)

Any suggestions for where I can find a dark and stormy night?

*laughs* How about my house? I'm thrilled to see I'm not the only one who likes the occasional rainy day. In case you care, I ended up liking Ludvaig Lindman's weater system.

It also comes with scripts that you can add to your own objects so they'll interact with it. :)

That's the Lindman weather machine... and I got one from SL Exchange. LOVE it. Covers a good amount of space and it can be as stormy or as drizzley as you like.

It's drizzling right now near the duck pond at mt. trumboji. check it out by looking up Starax on the map and TPing to the southeast corner of the sim. Take the ferry to Wini's point. Sorry if that seems like a long trek. Believe me, it's longer without the ferry :)

Thanks!

No rain or thunder or rainforests in Costa Rica tonight. There IS a giant banana rigged as a see-saw, though.
