What takes up a lot of your time in SL? If someone were to look over your shoulder to see what SL is like what would they most likely see you doing?
For me they'd see an avatar sitting on a 10x10 plywood platform in the sky as I build a house or some other primmy object. Or they'd see me in a welcome area chatting with someone.

Well, last night it was building, with a break to play ballerina with friends. In the average it's a combination of * Building (Current projects include my Bay City building, my SL5B stuff, and some other not-yet-public projects) * Time with friends and family. (This has been hit-and-miss lately, but when I get it, I enjoy it.) * Exploring (I always like to get some time exploring the grid) * Other RP time (Camp, HardKnock Elementary, etc.)

Sadly, this... I put a screen shot on my inworld screen and I sit there while doing work in the Gimp. Other than that you would find me building on my work platform or landscaping around home almost all the time. Oh, or hopping all over the grid on some sort of shopping mission that I thought would take 5 minutes, but never does.

Most of the time? Building. They would see me at some client site, or on my own land, creating a building or a watch or some other thing in SL.
Next most likely would be standing or sitting with several people and chatting, while at the same time having several conversations via IM.
Next would be working on the appearance of one of my avatars.
Least likely would be "adult activities", and at such times, it is extremely unlikely I'd be doing it unless I expected the probability of being interrupted was very low.

My stomach, but no worries I have my avatar doing a heavy workout so hopefully I will loose weight soon.

I noticed that too. Especially if I am looking for something very specific. Takes me hours:/ I always find what I want, but really wish I could find it faster.

hehe Brenda...
Mostly people would find me building while writing my class notes. Then they'd see me in IM's with my Learning Centre Dean working out the last kinks of a build class.
or...they'd see me standing or sitting in front of anywhere from 8 to 15 building avatars at the Learning Centre giving a class....
or...they'd see me with my partner, quite possible turned into a cheeseburger or a shake or surrounded by quantam bullies singing "you are an idiot ha ha ha", cause that's what my partner enjoys doing to me on a regular basis...or we're throwing the "No U!!!" gesture back and forth at each other. LOL yeah, just a couple of kids we are.

From: Brenda Connolly Something that would probably turn them to stone. LOL my daughter often sits near me and watches me make things, she is my inspiration to a lot of the outfits.. mostly she says.. "mom that's so old lady like." but occasionally she says "WOW.. mom you made that!? . Since I took that tiny prim class I am a crazy person making tiny things. So mostly they will see a camera going out of control as I try to zoom.. Since my PC is rather central in the house, anyone can see at anytime what I am doing, I'm not usually doing something involving naughty animations however, my son did walk by once while I was trying to draw boobies on a femme skin LOL that was a funny thing..

From: Bree Giffen What takes up a lot of your time in SL? If someone were to look over your shoulder to see what SL is like what would they most likely see you doing? Great question I love to hear about what others do in SL - how they utilize the grid. *Attending a class - that is about 35-40% of my login time *Planning a class *Teaching a class *Relaxing at home alone (sorting inventory, just hanging while reading threads, checking events for classes) *Relaxing at home with my Partner (Dancing/chatting/occasionally having friends over) *Czari's Attic -Thinking of/building new products -Setting up shop (in process again since purchase of land) *Exploring places we've heard/read about with my Partner which could be: -On horseback (either individual horses or on the double rider saddle together) -On dragonback (Partner as dragon AV, me passenger) -Using our beloved Rendezvous that lets us walk hand-in-hand, arms around each other, fly, swim together *Dancing - Used to be a HUGE chunk of our time in SL, now just occasionally *Playing arcade games (thanks again Rha!!!) *Just discovered 7Seas fishing - so been doing quite a bit of that recently *Shopping - ONLY when I have something specific to purchase - less than 10% of my time *Visiting friends in rp sims *Activities related to my faith

Mostly, a lot of textures so dark they couldn't tell if I was building skirts or riding lawnmowers.
I know -I- can't.

Most of the time they'd find me sitting in my cafe, greeting visitors and chatting with visitors.
Or, they'd find me in the forum cartel hangout being silly with the other goofballs who hang out there.
Very, very occasionally they would find me shopping or exploring. I would love to do more of both but there are very few hours in my SL day.

Over my shoulder
06-06-2008 10:14
Let's see, they'd see my shoulders, hair, and butt as I go walking. I spend most of my time inworld walking and walking and walking. I only fly when I hit too many "electric fences."
If they are lucky, they might see me skiing. I love to ski, but there is only one working ski area, I've found: Niseko Hirafu, and yes, I got free skis.

They'd see me standing there as RL gets frustrated that I can't find any good skin previewer. If you're lucky, though, you might look over my shoulder during a nice dance or stroll =p

2 chances in 5, they'd find me sitting on a log-chair around a bonfire at a certain place I frequent, talking to my most bestest friends in SL.
1.5 chance in 5, I'd be exploring a LM someone gave me.
1 chance in 5, I'd be hanging out at one of several specific 'alternate' locations, waiting to see if anybody I know will show up (or chillin' with the people already there).
.5 chance in 5, I'll be shopping, building, or at a music venue.
