According to what i have seen, they plan to do a version check sometime this summer and stop all old veiwers from logging in.

The quote was, We will allow time for other viewers to bcome compliant with the new requirments then we will turn off all old viewers to make sure the new content regulations are followed.

Which is daft, since they can just make them "fail closed"... and there will be several open source viewers that bypass the check without bothering to pick up the stupid stuff in 1.23.4.

Specific, sortware features not planned for but which have been accepted as normal, and shall from this time forward be considered part of the software release, no matter how detrimental they may be to the actual operation of the intended program.
