I can see a few white squares with red A's on them on the map around my area, they seem to work if that is them.

Okay, after searching for it most of the night, getting several more copybotted ones, I finally found and purchased a real one at the Black Swan.

Just a question, will the people who sell skins have to mark as adult content since, I personally wont buy a skin unless I see what is covered.....

exactly, It does. I do have adult content, but I wont promote adultry.... and I have no room for groups and since when does LL ever listen to us when it comes to something we seriously feel wronged about?

As a private sim owner, I have no problem marking my sim as mature....

But, I certainly do not agree merging the grids is a wise idea...

Everyone is appalled. The "new and improved" definitions are a lot more sweeping than even the previous "draft" definitions. There is now very little difference between PG and Mature. Everything from a nude photo on your wall on up is considered "adult". Also, it's not just businesses that are affected. It appears that ALL content will be judged.

hmm.... I really don't see what the problem is, from what I read... Basicly everything that isn't edu will be adult, there for keeping those teens off your sim...

Now if you want them, just dont have adult content.... It is not rocket science to know what could damage a frigile lil teen mind.. You know we all know they dont drink, smoke, do drugs or even have sex until after 18 anyway.. ; >




But, what I find interesting, and perhaps why there is such an outcry, is that this "mature" region is a prebuilt area and will people be able to create???

Anyway, I dont think it is sweeping, the only thing I must disagree with.... Is art... There is a lot of important works of art that does show unmentionables and from what I gather, they will be adult? But then again, those important works of art that are in SL (unless otherwise created) textures in any event are ripps from the web anyway...


If they are going to allow them on the grid, at least we will have some sort of protection from the <shudders> teenagers....


AND BTW LL, I won't let my daughter use SL now.... No way am I going to allow her to be possibly approached by a pedofile lurking and just waiting for your assinine (sp) plan to play out.

I wonder where the SL wrestling will fall into...... I have recently found this and honestly enjoy it.. Hope they dont have to change what they do and make it all sissyfied for the sake of the teens who will want to see it....

Was this a joke, where do you keep your daughter, locked in the cellar? I mean while your in SL defending her from virtual 'pedofiles', how do you know she's not on the streets being physically stalked by one. You use the internet that's your defense right there, usually the parents who make the biggest fuss about online stalkers appear to be those who are mostly technophiles and haven't the remote interest in what their kids are doing anyways.

I once used chat sites a lot, I was in my early 40's so not so young and I ended up talking to very young girls often, like 14 or 15. I was very careful with what I said, I always stated as soon as possible in the conversation how old I was, and usually ended the conversation telling to be careful who they actually spoke too in the chat rooms, more than once I was delighted to be told, "oh yes I am careful, my dads, sat here with me now".

What bothers me most is that you have to be age verified or have payment info on file to access adult content (which will comprise about anything currently in SL). That will be a big drawback for people who

a) can't or won't verify (because of personal privacy issues or because it's downright forbidden, which is apparently the case in most of Europe)

and

b) can't get payment info on file. For some reasons certain types of creditcards which work perfectly well can't be registered with LL.

and

c) people who don't want to give their creditcard info to SL, but use Paypal or whatever.

That might lead to a significantly smaller customer base for quite a lot of shopowners. It also means that all those people who - till now - have a happy life in SL won't be able to continue it because - as far as I understand it - even sexgen beds in the 'privacy' of their own homes (w00t! including my own home) will be flagged adult.

At this moment I have a parcel on an estate flagged 'mature'. I did this because I want maximum flexibility on the possible usage of that parcel. That will be the same for lots of people. Verified/POIF-people and non-verified/NPOIF-people. That possibility, maximum flexibility, will be no longer there for a lot of people and I am forced to have a parcel that will be flagged 'adult' which means I can no longer have half my friends list over for a (decent, mind you!) chat.

It seems LL dropped the "your world, your imagination" to "your world, your imagination, provided we don't think you a pervert". And 'pervert' is - in LL's eyes - everything that ain't Disney.
