Just FYI, I recall instances in the past where an SL user was banned from SL for posting information in the forums about an exploit such as what was being described here. Fortunately this one doesn't appear to be reproducible. :)

Good advice and no this isn't an exploit. Hit "ctrl, alt, v" to enable or disable "fake" admin status, which was called "Hacked God Mode" for a while. If you are a Linden, with the proper authorization then you can actually do something with all of this. For everyone else, some of the functionality may show you doing stuff but it is viewer side only. For the curious you can even pull up the God Tools, which island owners will recognize as Estate Tools. But when you try getting Top Scripts, Kicking someone etc, it will not work. While in fake God Mode you will also see "Freeze" & "Kick" etc in someone's profile.

In 2006 for a for a month or two you could actually enable partial God Mode powers using libsl. It was sweet! Greifer bothering you in a sandbox? Hit the Kick button to log them out! Wanted to know where someone was? No problem, call it up on the map. Needless to say, the Lindens didn't really enjoy this "loophole" and plugged it.

As much as I hate no-fly zones you'd think I'd be making use of this, especially since I've read about it a number of times, but for some reason I never have.

I'm flying in a no-fly zone now, maybe this time I'll remember.
