Ceka is right.. I was at a club the other day and the dancer was bitching about not having enough tips.. Why anyone would assume that this type of behavior is going to get you more tips is beyond me..

As a club manager, I have fired dancers for this.

As for erotic dancers, I almost universally ignore them. I'm much more interested in the people in the crowd. ^_^

Or the DJ. :p

As an RPer, I find saying actions in the first person to be VERY uncomfortable. Especially if you imagine being with somebody in person and them telling you, "I touch your cheek softly." That just really weirds me out.

From: Riseon Kosten
The first person thing really yanks me out of any enjoyment I'm getting.

Very interesting! I think I am just not very familiar with the conventions. I wonder, too, if one's approach, as either immersionist or augmentationist, has anything to do with it?

Any time you'd like a little one on one demonstrations, I'd be happy to oblige. ^_~

I have been debating to myself about this but in the end I think I can say this without hurting feelings.

This is a blurb in a profile I have seen before.
From: someone
I seem to have a talent fore being coloriful in my chatting style, articulating my words into a form that allows fore the feeling behide them as the reader enters into a semi state of dreams, able to feel and experience the moments, with more clarity.

If you need your male to learn how this is done, I do teach and can teach him. Normally each time only requires a few hours to become 200% better at the skills of mystical text.

Rates are as follows.
Single purrson@400L$ per hour
Club staff@200L$ per hour per purrson.

*tilts head* I think it is more a question of whether a person is doing RP or not. To me, third person is almost mandatory in RP. (Which brings up the fascinating question of whether augmentationists RP at all in SL [if they do, does that make them immersionists?] but I digress ...) Personally, I think that if an augmentationist were using SL for sexual adventure, I'd surprised to find them doing so in an RP venue. I'd be unsurprised to find them generally speaking in first person, and responding best to dancers who did the same.

Third person is also, of course, mandatory in any relationship (RP or no) where part of the kick is objectification. *she says, mischievously dangling the red cape in front of Scylla's nose before logging out of the forums today *

Makes sense to me.

I don't know about the whole immersionist/augmentationist thing. I'm not a fan of categorizing people anyway, and I definitely fit into neither camp completely. (where's the fun in that!?)

When I'm giving tips to a friend who's asked (for free I might add :) ), one of the things I point out is that you are typing for the enjoyment of your partner(s). As the one on the other end of the emote, I like to read
From: Rizzy's Fantasy

Scylla Rhiadra slips her arms around you, squeezing you close and kissing your cheek hello.

Rather than
From: Rizzy's Fantasy

Scylla Rhiadra:*I slip my arms around you, squeezing you close and kissing your cheek hello*

Because *I'm* the one reading it, and *you* are the one doing the hugging. :)

Is there good money-earning potential for such bots? I have a few dozen unemployed at the moment :D

i've never tipped one or worked with one..
If someone was copy and pasting on our stage they were asked to leave the stage..people were spending a lot on our girls..i wasn't about to have them being lazy about it..
we had a school that girls had to go through before we would let them on stage..if they didn't pass the classes they didn't make it to the stage..
so if they got lazy up there after making it they had the option to go back to class or drop from being a dancer..
it sounds harsh but it is not about the individual.it was about the customers and good entertainment and fun..

i see bots on a stage i just think why? lol

The only "RP" I do is the clothes off variety - And I tend to mix between 1st and 3rd person depending on the setting, person I'm with, etc.

However, I do feel when there's an intimate moment being brought to life, it makes far more sense to be first person. Third person makes it quite impersonal and fictional in my opinion, and although it might be just words and pixels at play I far prefer to feel *I* and *you* are sharing something other than an a collaborative creative writing exercise.

So /me walks into the room, looking stressed and tense.

But *I* relax into the embrace, sighing.

Of course, having not RP'd in other contexts (and honestly not being tremendously interested in doing so, SL fulfils a certain niche need of mine ;) I don't know what the general etiquette is for more clothes on scenarios.
