I made the first moves in selling some lan to rein in my tier... but found there were people who wouldn't even take a 512 *for nothing*...

1. I built my first house.
2. I got back in touch with the people I knew when I first came to SL.
3. I met most of the people I was most curious to meet.

1. My SL6B Build and my Burning Life build were largely successful. More so, I gained the respect of those involved with these events.

2. I increased my land holdings in Bay City and Shermerville, gained a plot in Nova Albion, all whole closing out my time in Hundertwasser.

3. I achieved my building objectives in all of the above (though the Nova Albion build did not get completed 'til this year).

4. I managed to weather some dramas in my Second Life, with some success.

5. I ran the Bay City anniversary parade.

6. My photos were "Best of Snapzilla" twice

7. I helped out on a couple large "for pay" builds, and gained the respect of my co-workers on same.

8. I by and large managed to gain and keep the respect of others in Bay City during some difficult times.

9. I helped guide policy in this world as a Resident.

10. I found a golden heart and a golden egg due to my knowledge of things mainland.

11. I helped shape the design of an Info Hub.

12. I made some amazing new friends, and strengthened friendships with older ones.

I managed to grow my hobby biz (one you might enjoy, Jumpy) from a shop in one smallish building to a homestead sim.

I managed to get kicked out of said smallish building by the land's proprieter, who accused me of skimming. We had a deal where he got 1/3 of the revenues. Big mistake on his part. He had to sell his sim.

I managed to avoid drama. Biggest drama was the aforementioned item in early January, which was more of a chuckle than a sob. If I caused any drama, nobody told me. And to all those men, I categorically state that no, I did not sleep with your wife. (I never sleep in SL; why waste the bandwidth?)

I managed to stay tight with my main squeeze of 3 years now.

And finally, I made what I believe is SL's first real spin the bottle widget!

Testing it's been a bitch, of course, but I'm diligent. Unfortunately, it's difficult to get 15 avatars together to test max memory usage. Ah well!

There's one on the balcony at the Cartel Hangout if anyone wants to give it a try, though it's configured for PG in keeping with the spirit of the venue.

I spent probably 50% less time in SL than last year.
I pulled cash out of SL, and came out slightly in the black on it.

I think that my most major accomplishment of 2009 was creating a traffic bots system that automatically kept the sim topped up with traffic bots and still left enough av spots for customers and other people. When the sim reached a ceratin number of avs, one or more bots logged out. When the number of avs went down, one or more bots logged in. It was a wonder to behold, and rivalled sex in terms of pleasure. It was perfection incarnate.

Then a few days (literally) after it was completed and running smoothly, Jack posted the ToS blog announcement about traffic that included the use of such bots, so my beautiful system was *very* short-lived :(

I built a 'haunted house,' including mastering most of the scripting I needed for some of the special effects. Unfortunately, RL events caught up with me before I quite finished it the way I wanted, but I'm proud of what I managed to accomplish.

I worked myself up to 4096 square meters of land and got to try my hand at decorating it. I put in a small pond I was really proud of - in fact, I was quite pleased with how a lot of my efforts turned out. But after a while it felt as though it had become too large a part of my SL budget, so now I am on a 1024 (in a snow sim, woo hoo!) and I feel as though my SLife is in balance again.

I built a bookshelf and put it up for sale. I figured out I'm not quite dedicated enough to become an SL merchant, at least for right now. But I learned something, and that's an accomplishment, right?

Oh Oh Oh! I made a "Jig-saw" ! That was so much fun. It's in the FREEBIES section at jPose Island. Saw your favorite person. :-)

Of course, it's best with Jig in it.

My major accomplishment in sl during 2009 was to co-chair and be part of the wonderful RFL of SL Team, consisting of 1000's of SL'ers who all worked together and helped raise a quarter of a million dollars. People from every community, different nationalities, it doesn't matter who or what you are in SL...are part of this team. I am very proud to be part of the RFL of SL team and consider that my greatest accomplishment for 2009 in SL.

I think that's the winner. I don't see how it can be topped.
