How do you do this??

My guess is that everything is sculpted, and uses three layers:
outer layer: glow, mostly transparent
Middle layer: alpha texturing
Inner layer: invisiprims.

Inner prim is an invisiprim to hide the avatar. Outer prim is a semi-transparent texture set to glow. I just tried it. Both prims not hollow.

anytime i run across an avatar like this, i press ctrl+alt+shift+9.
or ctrl+3 and select the prim to see its contents.

Argent stopped by my place last night to deliver and demonstrate the megaprim hack he spoke of. Amazing - suppresses the rendering of the avatar, while prims attached to the ava of course still get rendered.

Looking back at that picture now, it makes sense. I'm willing to bet that ava is wearing prims for body parts - a sculptie for the face, no doubt - and the megaprim hack.

I have absolutely NO idea how this megaprim is made. Here's what it does when it's worn, though:

The picture is a modified version of Ghostly Woman Avatar which I sell in my shop, Curio Obscura. This avatar is normally white but which they appear to have tinted blue, changed the hair, and so on.

The Ghostly Woman Avatar is made by covering the body with invisiprims and then placing semi-transparent glowing sculpties all over it to replace the torso, face, arms, legs, etc. The only part that is not covered with invisiprims and replaced by sculpties is the hands since you can't shrink hands down small enough to hide them well.
