This would be best suited in the Products wanted section.

Brenda - do a google search, find the images you like (you'll have to look either way whether it involves Google or TP'ing to 6 stores, getting your shoes up your arse and ending up ruthed - choose your poison!)
Post links here to the images. One of us kind souls will make you some posters out of them. ![]() _____________________

Are you just looking for textures, or for finished pieces of SL style pop art?
Statues of soup cans, for example, or sculpty heads in a grid with different colors applied to each? _____________________

there is a huge public domain dump of stuff if i find the url i will give it to you (i was looking at it a couple of weeks ago actualy cause I wanted to make a camera shop and it has all kinds of strange and wierd things in it).
I recently cleaned my desktop so it will take me a few days to find the link. Its mostly vintage stuff though not sure what era you want? _____________________

Thank you for your answers and suggestions, both here and the ones I received inworld. I've found a couple of shops and have plenty to go on if the highly unlikely urge to do it myself arises.

Or you could have reminded me Brenda, given all that's been going on I completely forgot I was meant to be making you some stuff.
Why didn't you remind me? |

I appreciate all the offers. I don't want anyone to go out of their way. I just wanted to walk into a shop or two, buy what I like and take it home. *Actually I'm looking for some of Hitler's paintings* _____________________

Tart Gallery is a pop art shop in Slustleria, not sure if it's what you are looking for as it's all original artwork.

And just to assuage the masses, I did make a poster last nigh...all by myself. And would have done another save for running into a problem whic I will ask about in the proper forum. I love you all. _____________________

Gazira Babeli has made a wonderful scripted Warhol soup-can piece. It prolly costs a fortune to buy, but I can't walk past the things without having a play

Q Branch has some classic rock group posters. I don't know which groups offhand, as I don't decorate much, but I believe the prices are quite reasonable as well. If I get in-world today, I can send you a LM. |

This thread reminds me of a question that I didn't really wish to find the answer to, fearing the reply.
Does anyone actually buy artwork in Second Life? Original artwork? I keep wondering if I should put up a small art center or not. I know there are art places in SL, but they either almost always empty, and or non-original work. This is my attempt to slip this question somewhere and say to myself that I asked, but without actually creating my own thread or . . . _____________________

Yes I have done, to support actual artists. Mostly, though, I just make it myself.

Yes I have done, to support actual artists. Mostly, though, I just make it myself. Yes, I guess this really isn't the medium for original artwork. Everyone is just so talented anyway, buying someone else work just seems . . .. I had my own place up from July to the end of October, and my art in world since April, but I only advertised once, so I was just curious if people that work a little harder actually get anyone to look at their stuff. _____________________

Go for it Lexxi. Just watch your permissions. It can't hurt to try. Send some copies of your portfolio to some of the more established decorators and designers. Offering limited editions might be a draw for some of the more well to do residents.

Offering limited editions might be a draw for some of the more well to do residents. When I originally started, I was going to go for Limited Editions, 1 of 100, or whatever, but I never got around to doing that. And that reminds me, yes, I should have used the critter that actually put this stuff out in world. If I do open something again, I will have to use Sonia's name. I'm sure someone, regardless of the very few that ever saw the art, will call Lexxi a copycat or something. _____________________
