I've had the problem on not seeing people either. They'll be talking to me, even see the green or yellow dots on the mini-map near me, yet it takes several minutes before even a white mist or a grey form appears.

From: Desmond Shang The grid worked its very best several months ago, as far as I can tell. This !!! To me, the lag is about as bad as it was when I started over 2 years ago. LL had made major progress in performance in the last 1 - 1 1/2 years, but seems to me that they have dropped back drastically in the last 3-6 months.

I seem to remember something a couple months ago about LL and their service provider... did they change providers or switch over to something that could be causing the problems?

My partner (whos MUCH smarter about this sort of thing than i ever will be) said...the same thing..he wondered (and I might have the technical terms wrong ) if the new service provider was using ghost hosts? It apparently would cause these type of problems. As for me Ive had in the last week the following: My face goes invisible, all I see is my hair & eyeballs , and the rest of my body is ok massive chat lag- so muchso i think ive crashed rubber banding GALORE -like everywhere I go- Ive found I now have to wait about 10 mins after I arrive to even try and walk or see things (yes, I have a wicked graphics card and top notch pc) Our private homestead- with 2 people on and a house (I just cleared it to re-vamp) its horrendously lagged, cant rez..cant fly..utterly useless. and its virtually empty with 2900 prims left and just a house! TP failure so often its not funny anymore Im thoroughly fed up to be honest
