From: VooDoo Bamboo I am completely stunned right now. I have been thinking this all over and am just really touched by all the responses I got both in world and out. People have 100% restored my faith in the fact there are good people in Second Life. I have decided to stay However I plan to take some time exploring SL even deeper. I want to find the great things and places for Second Life instead of running into the bad all the time. Thank you to everyone who has shown me support, it really means allot. I can not say thank you enough. ~VooDoo I never met you VooDoo but I feel I begin to know you through this thread alone. The "reality" of SL is that no matter how much grief, how much betrayal by small minds and jealous people, how much commercialised crap ... ... the only reality here in the end is friendship. And I know its a trite line, and The Beatles weren't gods just musicians, all the same, when they sang "And in the end The love you take Is equal to the love you make" well, that's what SL means to me. And I'm guessing it means the same to you or you would not have changed your mind. So I hope I meet you sometime, but even if I don't, thank you for helping make SL a place where friends can meet and be happy together.

Thank Goodnes, I hate to see people leaving sl that actually know what they are doing. It is people like you that people like me learn from by reading your posts even if not replying to them..
I have felt sl abused before too and the IM's from my friends were over whelming. Nice to feel loved isnt it.
Welcome back Sweetie, hope you have a wonderful time exploring the world instead of working so hard and just feeling abused.

From: VooDoo Bamboo I have decided to stay However I plan to take some time exploring SL even deeper. I want to find the great things and places for Second Life instead of running into the bad all the time. Never say never... Time away is a very healthy thing. I regularly 'step away from SL' to engage in RL for a few months here and there. When I return, I often appreciate what SL is, and the people in it, more than when I left. Don't make the mistake that others do and bury themselves so deeply in SL that they begin to resent it. Be where your heart takes you... and leave the doors open behind you.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your Father VooDoo, and although I only got to see you around the forums from time to time, you'll certainly be missed. Fortunately and unfortunately, people in SL act and behave the same as, and have the same moral code as, those in RL. They are those RL people beneath it all after all. I like to take the occasional hiatus from Second Life, and can only hope you'll find yourself back here someday. When you do, expect a warm welcome, k? And look after yourself.

To VooDoo,

I was exploring to determine where posting thread and stumbled upon you submission. I have great empathy for the things you have disclosed currently going through what sounds in many ways similar. Beyond the people who really have taken time to get to know me through my avie, and without being biased by thier jealousy or contempt, my reputation has wrongly been damaged and destroyed with lies and misleading stories.
Admitting being close to fully withdraw from SL, I have given up all of my social life within SL. However, I am giving my last effort and energy to take up civil service in a different way. My new mission in SL has become to find a way to both get Linden Life to take actions by revoking their privaledges for being inside SL and for LL to take efforts better preventing other malicious people from doing such things in the future.
I admire your decision. I know you have made one such that the problems are no longer worth your time, energy, and sacrifice. My best wishes to you. If ever you would like to contact me in game, for whatever help or support you may need, please don't hesitate doing so.
Sincerely, Shad Raffke

Voodoo, I'm so sorry about all of your troubles, RL and SL, and I only wish the best for you, but selfishly, I was sad about seeing you go, there is no one in SL who can create clubs like you!! We just cant do without your talent here. So, I'm happy that you are staying! Welcome back..smiles

Never met you, don't know if I've seen your work, but if returning is of benefit to you, it's a good thing. I've suffered the loss of a parent in recent years, at a time where my life was melting down as it was, so i understand your pain. had I known about Second life at that time, it may have made it easier. Best Wishes to You.

I do not know you either - but I have known the pain of losing a parent. You have my best wishes in this troubled time.
I too am glad that you chose not to leave - SL can be a balm to a fractured soul. The sheer beauty all around soothes.
Thank you for sharing your art with us and contributing to the spirit of the place -I will make a point now of looking for your work.
I wish you most well. A
