As you all might have noticed SecondLife is full of a variety of residents...some nice, some not so nice.
I have just visited a new medieval rp'ing sim called the 'Illusive Domain' located in Sadie. After hearing from a few disgruntled in game residents about the woman that runs the sim being a horrible person, I decided to go and meet her.
The sim is very tastefully done, with open spaces in which to ride your horses. (No cars are allowed in the sim, and no guns either.) I roamed around the medieval village enjoying the scenery, and then I saw her...the Queen!
Not knowing what to expect I said 'hello'....
To my surprise, after what I heard about this person, she was really nice and very friendly. She took me on the grand tour of all the buildings and places in the sim and we chatted the whole time. She likes to use voice as she takes you around the sim, a nice touch I must admit.
Sadie was an urban rp'ing sim prvious to the new theme...but she said it was too stressful. The medieval theme is very relaxing, a must see to believe!
If you have some time I recommend you take a trip to Sadie and you might be lucky enough to meet the 'Queen' of everyone's heart!

/me points to the "Land Sales and Rental" subforum, where this thread belongs. While the mission of Resident Answers has drifted away from strict question/answer, I think we still manage to hold advertising at bay.

This is not about land or rental....

You must have misunderstood my post...it did not have anything to do with 'land sales or rentals'. It was about a really nice person. I know you are not supposed to post actual names here in the forums so I told where she could be found. You have negative things to say about my post but the 'just ignore and let this one die' thread is fine???

Yes, Angelique, that's generally the way it works here. Negativity is preferred, and don't forget to insert a question into your thread topic if you have less than 500 posts under your belt. If more than 500 - you can talk about whatever you like, without asking an official question. If you have more than 1000 posts, then you can be rude to new posters. Thanks for the information. There have been quite a few people here asking for roleplay sims to visit. I'm sure this information will come in handy for them, and you're so right, it was a very nice gesture for the sim owner to give you a tour. I have a friend who gives tours of his sim once or twice a week to a large group of people, and he says it's a great way to get people involved and oriented with what the sim has to offer. Heaven forbid that I should mention the sim, though, and be helpful. That is just not allowed!

I find it refreshing to hear about nice people after so many "I got cheated what should I do" topics. The implied question is, have you run into nice people where you didn't expect it? To answer -- yes, when I run into people at all. And it always makes me smile. I like genuine nice people. They're much better than those knock-off nice people.

After three years you pop your head above the battlements to post, Angelique, and it reads like a press release? You expect to be taken seriously? You are either naive, or *very* naive. Pep (I have you pegged as an alt of whoever it is you are promoting. Shameless. )

The folks at Vengeance Studio are also really nice. You should give them a visit in the Sentry sim. It's a bonus that they also sell really cool items. If you don't find anyone there, click one of the online monitors (coincidentally for sale, too) for an easy-to-click contact link so you can chat with these fine folks.

OMG Hell froze over. I'm agreeing with pep! The OP does sound like an overly-edited advertisement disguised as a letter to the editor. So a certain amount of cynicism doesn't seem unreasonable. And, as a word of caution, if there are several disgruntled residents who think your new pal is horrible (obviously, she's then not the queen of "everyone's heart" , perhaps they know more than you do after one meeting. Personally, I've run into one or two utter sociopaths who seem perfectly nice at first glance.

The nicest people I have met in SL are Sarah Nerd who buys and sells land and Nimue Jewell who makes incredible texture changing Prim Pincher Low Prim furniture. Her island Nimue Isle is gorgeous and worth checking out alone or with a friend. Check out the goods and services of these two "nice" people. I like shameless plug threads. Edit: Brenda Connolly is really nice too, but I don't think she has anything to sell, so I won't mention her.

Angelique - I left out a few "rules"......
1) If our resident spelling/grammar checker cannot find anything in a well written post to call you out on, and audaciously and rudely remark that English is your second language (when in fact, he probably does not have the intelligence to learn a second language himself)....he will resort to picking away at your content (while he sits in his mother's basement seething, and pecking away).
2) If you have less than 50 posts under your belt, then you will be accused of being an alt of someone, and suspicions and rumors will fly.
3) If you introduce a "positive" thought....you'll get perhaps one page of positive responses, (if it's a good day, and not Friday)....then the thread will fall apart. Don't take this personally - happens to even those posters with a generous supply of posts under their belt.
4) If you would like to cross that threshold of 1000 posts....slide over to the "never ending" thread, and make yourself at home there....and you will be good to go with your thread posting in about 48 hours.
5) If you get a ferret pic in your thread.....that means that someone has a crush on you, and that you will probably be contacted later this evening for dinner and dancing.

I don't know Nimue that well, mainly here, but she seems very nice, and Sarah.....well she is one of my favorite people in SL, too. I say shamelessly plug away. LL continually is stacking the deck against resident businesses, especially the smaller ons it seems, so I think you guys should do whatever you can to stick it to them and keep going. Waits to hear what "privileges" my Post Count garners.
