What is your price point?

1-20L For an impulse buy. I'm odd though... Sometimes I will umm.. and aww.. over the price of even a 1L item. I think it all has to do with perceived value and quality rather than objective quality in a virtual world... or somesuch thing, whatever.

If it's a store I frequent, and I love an outfit I see, I will make a decision to purchase quickly as long as the price is no more than 300L

Beyond that, I have to think about it......

Shoes need to be below 50L before I would impulse buy.

99L for house and garden. I will pretty much snap up anything that really catches my eye.

There are two things that I will generally spend a lot of $L on after a brief demo and without too much deliberation:

1. Prepopulated AO's. I can't be hassled fiddling around with notecards setting up my own, I'm quite capable of doing it, but I find it tedious.

2. Skins I try and like on me, I will buy straight away unless they are above 2500L. Maybe some thought required then

I asked a similar question about impulse buying a little while ago that you might find helpful :)

For me anything 100L or under i dont even think about and just buy it. Anything over 100L i do think about it and whether i need it. I do allow a higher price point for things like gadgets, scripted items, etc. For those if its around 250L or a bit higher that is fine and i dont blink. Anything higher than those prices I consider something that i need to think about before purchasing.

As for pricing items in my furniture and decor store...people tend to follow about the same guidelines as i laid out above. I see them buy anything 100L or under in quantity...but things 200L and over they seem to buy one or two but not a huge number like they will buy of the lower priced items.

I have, I think, two main thresholds:

Good builder's tools and Sculpty Kits--about L$1200
Anything else-- about L$400

I'm completely opposite, Jojo. I find it hard to buy anything for less than 100L. I figure it is too common for someone with an extremely bloated inventory already.

I won't bat an eyelash for stuff up to 1000 Lindens. Over that, I think about it.

Isn't the stipend 300L?

I'd say most people's price point is around there.

stipend (if you even get one) is based on when the account was created and/or when it went premium... This Av get 50, my previous was at 300, and I think there were some 500's at one time

like most my impulse price point varies with the items intrinsic value. some things I wouldn't pay 50L$ for, others, a few kL$ wouldn't make me pause... random, low intrinsic value items, probably 25L$ or less

I'm weak, what can I say?

Probably around 800L-1000L for me... I spend way too easily, I know, but I can't resist!

So, I just don't go shopping that often =P

It totally depends on what it is and my mood. One day a L$500 dress seems reasonable or a bargain and then next it seems too much.

I don't have a fixed price point. It's a fairly complicated process that takes 10% of my current Linden balance as base, takes into account the usefulness of the item in question, and factors in other variables such as how good my tips have been over the last several days, whether or not I've managed to sell a house or two, and how close my Linden balance is to the amount of my next rent payment. When I do go shopping, I rarely ever buy the first thing I see. I shop around extensively, and see if I can find the same or similar item for less.

Joshooah's survey nailed it. We just need to make one with higher amounts.

I like to think about things in terms of their price if converted to US dollars too. I say to myself, "Hey this dress costs a little over a dollar!" as I click and buy it. It is a bit eye opening to know that some people have no issue with cost if they really really like something.
