Cool! Like what you're doing and is going to look good once you've sunk it into the water When one of your neighbours has rezzed a huge megaprim sphere hovering in the air I don't think they can object to whatever you do to the outside...

The hardest part will be to drop it the 400m to get it in the water

From: Gummo Zaks Pep knows I do it half to intice him........and I'm not very good with typing on the t9 with the phone and that's where I always visit the forums from Your posts usually make sense - why should I complain about the odd typo when it is obvious that some care has gone into presenting the question or comment? From: Gummo Zaks edit and since a pic is worth a tousand words Having said that, are you Irish? Pep (Anybody that thinks that is racist - presumably in the absence of a sense of humour - should consider my own racial heritage. )

From: Lance Corrimal Do you mean you're building out over open water? Part sunken in......otherwises it would stay in the air....but the whole sim is open water no land except the adjoining sims so I find it hard to make a giant cube or the existing exterior to fit in

A giant block of Swiss cheese? A seascape photo on each side? Surely there is a way to make the outside visually appealing while still getting the effect you want - and your neighbors will thank you! ETA: Make the outside a granite facade with an overlay of a giant kraken wrapping its tentacles around the building, attempting to pull the whole thing down into the depths... No, that's okay, no need to thank me...

It's not about prim faking land.....the slurs were provided for you to see what I'm talking about....now i'd rather prim fake water but have seen lots of texture and styles to do so but bot a one that equates with linden water

Just had a look at the build. Why not just duplicate the building facade textures on the outside? And keep the busy look? Do you actually need to enclose it in a plain box?

Actually if I could cobine that with a giant sea monster pulling the 'city' in to the water we might have a winner.....now who can build a giant squid?

From: Gummo Zaks The instead looks great I just don't know what to do about the outside it's sorta creamshop meets the breeding room type of thing so it's not like a simple box and I wuoldn't even know what kind of textures to throw onthe outside to make it less ugly from that veiwpoint but then again I wouldn't mind helping depriciate adult land down to the value of the rest of mainland make the outside transparent?

Okay you got my curiosity aroused. Any chance of posting an SURL so we can have a look for ourselves?

Really, tho, it all depends on what kind of land you have. If its mainland, then you are welcome to do what you want, even though you might piss off your neighbors.
If you are on a private sim, you are still bound by the covenant, regardless of how much you paid for your land.

Yes you can make a mega sculpty and/or flexi.
Gummo, I'm not a nautically inclined builder/scripter but I'd be willing to try to help. Take a look at my shop in Pimuenti and IM me inworld if you'd like to talk about if I can help you prevent another eyesore.

From: Gummo Zaks best idea yet....donate your time and building skuills? But... you want it to look good, right? I'd be glad to if I could, but I'm afraid my building skills lag significantly beyond my "thinking of things that would be neat to build" skills. If I get a chance, I'll play with the idea a bit and see if I can come up with anything that might be helpful. You're probably going to want at least some sculpties, though, and I'm hopeless where those are concerned.
