From: Azar Meads Ok Gor is an off-topic here? I spoke with a girl who was kneeling all the time, asked what a nice girl did in such a place. She wanted to be a slave and was all happy with it. If they don't bother beeing slaves, why should I try to free them? It's not that i feel abowe women RL but it's a set of Roleplay rules.
I like the idea of that Gorean sims don't allow shields. Means I have to practice to avoid getting killed. I just want to sign up as a warrior someplace, serve the city, protect my people and kick some ass when attacked. Azar try the products wanted area of the Forums (welcome to the Forums btw), also you may want to check out the city/sim of Tor, if its still standing. DCS is a good combat system to look into as well.

The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

From: Colette Meiji The ultimate Gore weapon is a banana cream pie.
Shaken, not stirred. Oh dear, do Goreans really shake rather than stir? How disappointing.

From: Chris Norse It is starting, didn't you read in the other thread about the Gorean Abolition movement starting? Plus the Forum hangout is now a safe haven for any escaped Gorean Love Slaves. Yes, pretty soon all those ex-slaves are going to be empowered, and then watch out Goreans. You'll need your weapons just to avoid being made to do the dishes. BTW, I think I should be involved in the ex-slave girl's (very slow and time consuming) rehabilitation into non-Gor living. But it will take a while, and I really should provide them with a familiar environment to start in, so they don't suffer too much of a psychological impact. Need to find some slave pens and a nice Gorean whip... Love

Love is back and she's in a meeeannnn mood. /me runs!
OP, it might be fun for you to simply go wander around some of the Gorean markets inworld - pick up a few other things, clothes and what-all. Just search for Gorean Market.
As for shields/combat systems ... don't most of the cities simply have whichever one that sim uses free at the gate? Or do only losers use those, lol!

I propose we call it "Rog" You know all the "slave girls" would be 48 year old truckers named Earl and Jimmy John.

From: Conan Godwin Haven't we got enough sims dedicated to cultures that never existed? That's a bit small-minded, especially in a place that has never existed, until now, if it does, as such, in that we are creating it as we go along, which is supposed to be all-inclusive, excepting Americans, oh, I mean accepting Americans (and even Goreans), and that there are no limitations on what we can do here, including euphemistically fornicate in several languages, throw snowballs ( and pies) in mid summer, and not get overheated (or fat, respectively), and may in fact may be woefully short of sims dedicated to cultures that have never existed, may never exist (except here), unless of course, we would like SL to be like RL, which is largely and shamefully cobblers free.

From: Chas Connolly which is largely and shamefully cobblers free. Marie Callendar's frozen ones are surprisingly good. Tho there is nothing like having your 10-year-old drop blobs of bisquick dough into the dish full of marion berries or peaches, and then having him check it every two minutes until it's done. Frozen berries are completely cobbler-able. oopsie ... we have wandered far from Gor ... *slips off her collar and runs away!*

From: Har Fairweather This, from a guy named Conan. You, you...Barbarian! That could be a reference to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle for all you know. Or Conan O'brien. Or any of the other many Scottish people called Conan. It isn't though. EDIT: Wow! Drunk girls are bitch-fighting outside my house! That's awesome!
