On forums, it is anybody's guess why anyone does anything Wow. Kinda boggled by this, the idea that some may not be able to think for themselves, because they may find themselves in agreement. Could be that they choose not to post to things they don't agree with because don't want to be bothered with controversy, or subjected to attack.. |

I always wanted to create a brothel full of escort bots who used tweaked chatterbot code to flirt with patrons and who would walk around, dance, jump on poseballs, and more steamy things. My lil army of virtual hookers could then make a fortune for pimp daddy (me) while I was at work all day.
I've seen some "stripper" bots you can control, but those are to my idea like Fischer Price is to Smith and Wesson.

For me, not so much the controversy, it's the attacks and how personal and nasty they can become. I spend most of my time in the forum while I'm at work. Clearly the bots exist, so somebody is selling them. In my bot hunting days I ran across a bot merchant by randomly choosing places on the map. At least a year ago Jack Linden acknowledged that selling traffic was becoming more popular; something that I wasn't even aware of at the time.

they are still being used ..i was looking around the other day for a club to just dance and meet some people..I typed in club in the search and laughed because i had gotten.None found lol so i went to all search typed in club and everything came up..
so i ported to this country club that was next on the list and saw over 40 bots being rezzed on a dance floor on couples dance balls..
it felt like i was in silent hill so i left soon as i saw how many were rezzed..what is the point of having a club if it is going to be all bots on your floor anyways? Oo

I have done this when I specifically went out shopping for some animations a few times -- also when shopping for couples dances. However, if I am just popping around stores, not really shopping for anything in particular, it is just kind of a pain to log the alt in just to come check some new animation I just happened to see. Would still be easier and kind of neat if a I could click something and a couple of bots come over and demonstrate the pose/animation for me.
