No proof of him being a pedo has ever come to light. Claims have come forth, and been defeated. He paid off one family, but if you look at how he was getting hounded, you can see why. He's been subject to that kind of thing since the events that inspired him to write Billie Jean.

As for being phony - he wrote all of his own stuff after Bad I believe, and most of it before while an adult. He was only 'phony' as a child - motown gave the Jackson 5 what they were to sing. Most pop artists today (and during his time) are much more phony...

His skin condition is a real one - but if you spend too much time in whitey land, maybe you've never seen somebody with it.

I suspect he did things to even out the spots, but I can understand vanity driving a person to that - the results of it untreated are pretty rough to look at. The 80s was perhaps the most materialistic decade known to the US - before or since - and it simply would not have accepted a man with a grossly deforming skin condition as a pop star.

His surgeries seem to have started after his severe burn injury - not saying he didn't go too far, but I can understand why he started.

His former dermatologist said (Larry King Live) that he biopsied Michael for lupus and for vitiligo and that he tested positive for both. He had the butterfly rash and the Dr. said his hair loss was also part of lupus as well.

He said Michael's vitiligo was so bad that they finally just lightened the remaining pigmented skin, it was easier than darkening the rest. The hats were to cover up operations to stretch his scalp to try and cover his bald spot surgically. The umbrella was to protect himself from sunlight due to his illnesses. The masks were because the cartilage in his nose had collapsed. The glove was to cover a hand that was affected by vitiligo.

It made me feel sad when I heard all of that, because a lot of the mockery aimed at him was for things he could not help.

I was in Hollywood yesterday and pasted by MJ star. There was a girl there crying, my wife couldn't believe that someone was still crying so long after his death. When we went back past it a couple of hours later she was still here, eyes puffed up from crying, and I overheard a couple of people saying "What' she's still here, she have issues."

The 'phony wannabe white' had nothing to do with the color of his skin, and everything to do with the total (and badly botched) reconstruction of his face.

And you are right, there is no proof of his 'activities' with children. It boggles my mind how people could look right past the fact that this grown man had children for 'sleepovers' who not only slept over, but slept in his bed. And no proof needed there, because he admitted it. Most of the same people who can look right past all that would FREAK if they found out the man upstairs or down the street was doing it.

Never mind that he did much good in his life for even the very same kids and parents both who ended up attacking him after letting their children spend the night with a TOTAL stranger in the privacy and security of his own home. I mean that stuff is SUPPOSED to be hot and all?)... to the point that endless gallons of unnecessary ink is dumped into our environment since companies ALL have to put idiot warnings on the labels of about any product you can think of due to such over-litigation in this and other countries?

And wait a minute let's also forget he had two horridly disfiguring diseases which stripped him of his racial color to begin with on one hand and caused both pain and even MORE disfigurement on the other. Not to mention AGAIN money-grubbing practitioners of what is supposed to be a Noble, Compassionate and oh yes ETHICAL profession who kept ON chiseling away at his face instead of turning him away when he began to evidence disturbing ideas about his looks and point him to a person who can work on the state of mind he had to be in to go that far. No, instead he kept finding DOCTORS of all people who were willing to go the same route as those so-called parents did... as long as the MONEY was good who CARES about destroying someone in need of their help and appreciation? Naw, kids what the heck do WE care, as long as the money keeps a'pourin' in let's keep on til his overstressed nose practically FALLS OFF his face.. oh wait. falls INTO his face. My bad! -sheepish smile-

But allllll that isn't enuff for you all now is it? Oh no, this man whose records and contribution to society through his creativity and his altruism can't even rest in peace a solid month before you are slamming him without a single breath of offense tossed in your direction personally.

And this comes from a guy who literally cringed every time he heard Michael Jackson's "normal" speaking voice folks and who never bought a single one of his albums. I'm hardly a bleeding heart liberal either that thinks "anything goes" as long as "I" am happy despite what it may do to other people. And as a father myself if "I" ever find out ANYONE had so much as laid a finger on one of mine? There's NO amount of money which would make any place on this planet safe enough for him to live out the year. And that's a solid gold guarantee on that one.

Anyone who's gone to any number of doctors for anything serious let alone baffling will be disabused of that notion very quickly.

But if you're putting plastic surgeons into that category assuming they are all Dr. Welby you've been naive.

Also remember it was another Dr. who put a stop to it finally (so he says) refusing to treat MJ unless he broke ties with the surgeon allegedly (we only have his competitor's word, and MJ is gone) taking advantage of him.

I agree with you 100% Midnight. The most amusing display of public hypocrisy is when it decides to condemn those with money who actually use it to defend themselves after years of whining because they can't do it too.

Followed very closely by a complete listing of how many of the average person's imperfections like their weight, height, manner of speaking, ethnicity, etc. whether controllable or not should not be subject to ridicule. Notice how many of the same imperfections in Michael Jackson are fair game for everybody.

I just want to catch one fat, short, pimply faced, short bus riding, basement dwelling human disaster pointing a finger at Michael Jackson and laughing. YouTube HOF will be a certainty.

Oh but it's kind of a given that the same ones who criticise someone like Jessica Biel's looks when Megan Fox comes along, suddenly judging the former as unworthy, could not get close to either in reality.
