From: Ceka Cianci getting rid of all the bots only exposed the ninjas using them for camouflage..ninjas are trained to act like a deer caught in headlights when there is a chance they have been seen...this is why the numbers have not moved in a couple of days..ninjas are very disciplined..
unlike all the pirates that showed up with the camping..arrrrrrr These would be the same Ninjas that now have "Kenworth Linden" impressed into their foreheads?

From: Phil Deakins ooOOoo. The number has changed now. It's gone up a bit. They've had plenty of time to put an auto-adjustment into it, so they've released it live. Ah someone worked out how adjust the formula to Displayed Online = Actual Online + 60,000

Traffic bots still clearly present for high-ranking Places searches. As in - clusters of 50's and 70's on some PI's
Try searches like Furniture, Houses

Try searches like Furniture, Houses I really believe that not all those that run Bots know about the new LL policy. I know it sounds strange, but there you go. Apart from clubs and events .......its hard to see any shop having more than 10k natural traffic of shoppers without owners and their models being present.

I would guess that *a lot* of people running traffic bots have no idea that anything has changed. The bigger ones should know by now, as LL said that they would be reviewing high-traffic places for bot presence and warning the owners. Why then do we have high-ranking Places with blatant clusters of bots? ?1. LL have warned the owners, but the owner hasn't responded. LL hesitate to zap them without a communication ?2. LL don't have a way (yet) of removing a place from the index ?3. LL logged out the bots (a tedious job to do one-by-one - but they could restart the sim). The bots keep logging in unless LL suspend the accounts. ?4. LL have not assigned reesources Meanwhile, more people are reporting that LL are telling people to pull their camping pads. https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/land/blog/2009/04/23/conclusion-to-the-blog-post-on-bots-- maybe because the pads are not bot-proof?

Seems like it would only take a few hours, a day at worst, to go to most of the top traffic places and put 1 or maybe 7 day suspensions on all the obvious bots in boxes and drop the land owner a warning message.
No real harm done to the bot user in case of simple ignorance or mistaken identity by LL and it would put the fear of God into them and word would quickly spread.
No need to mess around with camping gray areas when the most blatant traffic bot users are still in operation. Worry about arguing over the edge cases later. It's very disappointing that it's now almost a week later and there has been literally zero progress on this issue.
Probably Jack will come to his office hours with amazing statistics about how there are 20% less bots this week than last and also news that chocolate rations have been increased to 25g. Blergh.

So far, it's just as I suggested it would be soon after the announcement - no major changes, concurrency hardly affected at all, and LL being totally half-hearted about it. I.e. a damp squib - just what LL wanted.

From: Lindal Kidd The last half dozen or so times I've logged on, there have been 76,942 residents on line. I don't think the meter is working. I dont know if this is related but, I have a friend online who has been online for 1 week solid... He does not answer me and I know he would if he was there... But anyway.. it is a bit strange as he is not on a lot anyway and has been online for a week in my friends list.
