i tried to be a vampire once but had to quite,i had found i really sucked at it.

I'm a vampire but completely disgusted by people in the game right now. Luckily I don't have to be like most of them, and refuse to bite people unless they ask me to bite them.

At the moment I'm selling off my blood tanks because I don't need them.

I greatly second this motion! I was involved in the vampire community and RPs long before this bloodlines thingy or whatever it is called surfaced. I think I have one in inventory someone gave me as a gift but never really used it. Not really sure that all that many players that have that thingy really RP, many that I have seen are more into like making it something like Tiny Empires games and be queen or whatever the title stuff is. LOL...I suppose you can tell I know damn little about the bloodlines game.

At its best the Bloodlines game is more like a combat hud - there is no roleplay involved unless you add it in yourself which does not require the game at all.

I prefer to roleplay almost all aspects of being a vampire, when I bite people it can be as violent and harsh or as sexy and erotic as I desire but all who are victim appreciate the descriptive narrative they get from the roleplay.

I have said it before and say it again here I consider bloodlines (and any other simillar type of vampire hud that are just about the points) to be a bit like having pure poseball sex. The anims may look good and can be fun if you are into it but it will never replace descriptive narrative for the best type of cybering, though admittedly in the case of pose ball sex the visuals can be a great aid, not sure the same can be said of bloodlines though.

I do not push my roleplay upon those who are unwilling, that might seem against the principles of being a vampire but not really if you imagine in the middle of an Underworld film suddenly a being from another planet appeared that was powerful, invunerable and just didn't want to be bitten. Any vampire in that film who had an ounce of self preservation would move on to easier prey if the film wanted any chance at being believable.

Respecting the choices of other SL residents should be paramount when you decide to take your roleplay out of obvious roleplay areas and in to the general SL population. Almost every roleplaying group have members who fail dismally at this and give the rest a bad name, my recommendation is not be one of the ones who bring your chosen roleplay into disrepute.

As a bdsm switch I like to use my Av to show if Im feeling Domme or Sub. if im on Top I use my Vampire, if I fell subby I use my Neko... make it easy for my friends to tell which voice in my head is speaking loudest on any given day.

I also love Roleplay as well, was in Norsim for a while, but I found there it tended to be "shoot first then RP with your corpse" sort of RP.

where are the good "non bloodlines" vampire RP sims where people actualy talk to you before slicing your up?

There are City of Lost Angels, Eerie, Crossroads and Toxia to name a few though some are dark urban rather than vampire focused necessarily as all races are represented. All of them try to push roleplay ahead of combat and use combat as an enhancement to roleplay.

Glad to see there are roleplay sims that still do this. I, for one, usually avoid RP sims that require meter-wearing, and I would far rather RP combat (using dice, if necessary) than take my chances with someone who has paid a lot of L$ for a better weapon and can bash their keyboard harder and faster than me...

I heard that Brenda is a psychic vampire in real life. Don't know if that's true though.

Vampire/Neko here who does not actually roleplay, this account really only does building/businss.

I do enjoy ingesting blood, but usually it is going down together with meat <.<

(and before someone takes wrong conclusions, I just about always only do it with consent, and when the damage won't be permanent (I've chewed on chunks of vampire friends of mine that were able to heal amazingly if given enough blood, which I was more than willing to provide

So there are some Vamps on here oh good, i darn't mention that i was incase i got flamed lol. Just started playing Bloodlines so i'm still very much learning the ropes. So it's nice too see others.
