No, I don't get *that* creative with filing. There are situation where threads do infact need to be removed from circulation, in those cases I move them into the Threads for Linden Review forum. Sometimes they get moved back out into circulation. One of duties is merging cross forum posts (with the possibility of sending repeat offenders to LR). That does break the t=* links but not the p=* links.

Many thanks for answering my query. Rayner, I didn't check the other parts of the forum, I didnt realise that threads would be moved about, so thanks for that suggestion.
Welcome. Things CAN get a bit complicated when Strife's in moving mode ... I've already had my fair share of thread searching, so that idea came quite naturally ...
