My theory is that the problems with SL stems from the Christmas bonuses. Philip enters the room (probably dressed up as a red av with white particle beard) and all the other Lindens are sat there eagerly waiting to hear what their Christmas bonus will be. Philip says "well lads it's been a lousy year, so this annual bonus is hundreds of thousands of 16m land plots left behind by the disaffected, shared equally, you can do what you like with them, sell them if you need US dollars to feed your kiddies or even advertise on them, now I've been told thats a popular past time".

So each have their thousand odd pieces of spare, tossed away 16m parcels. Some were lucky, they have a lot of plots in nice popular places and sell enough to buy that turkey. The others who are too slow or just can't be bothered experiment with the prim limitations. Every now and again they all rush over to a computer screen and laugh with merriment when another for sale sign is put in place "hey, look it spins, I want to do some of them" they say, and go off and do some.

Occasionally they get assigned road duty, well imagine thats probably the worst job you can get at Lindens Lab in SL, "but I'm a white collar worker Philip, look at my hands as smooth as a babies bottom", And grumble in the corner when he's gone "bloody roads, who needs bloody roads when you can fly, damn if i want to go anywhere I just TP" well you can understand their point, if you put a support ticket in for urgent help, you'd be pretty annoyed if a Linden said "ok I'm coming, but I'm taking the car, your about 145 SIMs away, so I'll arrive in a weeks time" (hmmm maybe that is what happens?). And as their fustration grows who can blame them when they start to right-click create cube prim, right-click create sphere prim, right-click create robus prim, etc etc at the time it probably seems more like fun than building roads, but then of course they have to do some work, so they promise themselves they'll go back later and clear the prim mess up that they just made on that parcel!

First off, Philip does not dress as a santa avy at Christmas. He dresses like Neo from The Matrix like he always does.

But Neo doesn't have a white particle beard?

I know. I have shed bitter tears over that too.
