Not that I'd know anything about this or anything... :o

... but if one wanted to emote with the text coming from oneself instead of color-coded as originating from a prim, one might devise a set of appropriate Gestures, accessible with easy-to-remember key sequences.

... speaking purely hypothetically, of course. :o

There is a HUD you can get -- a freebie even, I think -- that will read a notecard and every time you click something on the HUD, it will paste the next line into chat. Lindal uses it in her sex class that she teaches in SL.

It is a tad easier and quicker than constantly trying to hilite the correct line in your notecard and pasting it yourself

Great ideas. All this time I've been having pre-planned emotes in notepad for when I want to interact with more realistic dog RP.

It might be a lot easier with the HUD Lil speaks of, if it does entire small chunks like the one above and not just one line of text.

I'll have to experiment with that..


It will do chunks, up to 255 characters, the limit for a single chat entry. It recognizes a carriage return as a break between "chunks". Touch the HUD button each time you want it to feed a new "chunk" to chat.

One limitation...it progresses through your notecard in a linear fashion. There is no "back up" or "skip" function.

rather than using paste, try clear tape or masking tape.
