like an idiot the celeb theif not only stole the skin but passed around the actual texture that some fool let me see WITH THE THIEF'S NAME LISTED AS THE CREATOR LOL ON A REGULAR TEXTURE WITH REDGRAVE'S COPYWRIGHT ON IT.

the thing of it is that the thief claims to be so RICH rl from monies earned from sl consultancythat they coulda bawt redgraves skins THE COMPANY lock stock and barrel.

this is the kicker. the fool applied the texture to a mod skin from the library so there would have been no evidence had they not also just uploaded the skin as a regular texture (like a photo as opposed to a skin). what an ijit.

I think the point is, is networking, a SL 'celeb' because of their contacts and friends list can pass a stolen skin through SL much faster than say a typical rip-off artist could. The point is a SL 'celeb' should know better and be active in preventing ripped off content from circulating in SL, the point is you can make a bigger point name-shaming a a SL celeb and the final point is Jumpy can make a legitimate post as a upstanding resident of SL.

And sell more copies of SLut . . .

Okay - this happened to me. I took photo 'evidence' but never uploaded it til just now, because I didn't want to sound paranoid.

But, is it possible for someone to stand right beside you and rip off your skin that you are wearing? How long does it take?

Okay to set up the story I will go back a bit but if you want to cut to the chase just look at the last photo link only. I put the basic story in the caption there.

So I had taken this photo in the past for a contest (which I lost - but the winner was a pic I took for someone else, so...Lol). I had found a sim that made a great backdrop, and I got into the dryad costume/tree from Bare Rose and I dressed it up just a tad with a skirt of flowers. Here is THAT pic. Mainly to tell you why I was in that sim a bit later - the first time I went it was to take pix and so I didn't get to really have fun/wander around there. Here's the pic I took that first day:

So about a week or so later, I went back to just explore there and wander. Once I got there, some faeries were randomly floating/flying around up in the tree tops. (You can click a mushroom, and it will make you do that - and there is no path or target to it, you're literally free-floating.) I decided to take pix because if I could get one centered in flight with the light just so, I thought it would be pretty. But it took ages, because I was trying to cam around in the air and keep up with someone floating/twirling in random directions. I kept 'just missing' shots or the hair would go thru the av or someone's hand would block someone's face, etc. So it took at least twenty minutes.

In all that time I was cammed up into the treetops, hardly aware of my physical OR my Second Life self. The wonders of creative immersion...so here is a shot I got of the fae:

There were three of them up there, I think but that's about as centered a shot as it got.

I cammed back to myself once I got a decent shot. The caption on this pic tells the rest but briefly - someone was standing beside me looking like a clone. A stretched-out, taller clone but a clone...And they'd sidled up beside me without saying a word, not even hello. Since they couldn't really 'watch' what I was doing - I was just standing there - it was a bit odd. Maybe they were watching the fae too but it just seemed odd, she was standing that close.

What was odder - wearing a skin from the same store AND the same skin pack AND the exact same makeup. I collected myself and didn't want to accuse but I asked about the coincidence and if she bought the pack and how she liked the skin etc., she was vague and giggly. Then changed the topic. I was polite and all of that, she stayed a bit and said what a nice sim it is etc. Then I decided it's too huge a coincidence especially seeing how she's in freebie crap and that is an expensive skin. So I just ignored her from there on.

Her profile pic was some really bad skin like a third grader might draw - so you tell me?
