Well I asked the same question a few weeks ago. I know we all can seek out busy places and they will probably always be busy. But I never had to seek that hard a couple months ago.
“My” observation is the sim traffic decline. Yes it shows the 50-60k online....the same as it did a month ago and there are now extremely few avatars on the map. It don’t make sense to me but what do I know.
I can tell you one thing. If I wasn’t using the Nicholaz viewer I would probably cancel my account and leave SL because it is too frustrating to have any fun.

From: Cristalle Karami A lot of places don't have people unless they have events running. You would be better off checking the events calendar under Nightclubs or Live Music. I second this; it's what I came into the thread to suggest. My own place (thanks Maureen for mentioning it) is packed to the gills during the regular weekly event - but if you pop in any other time you might find it empty, or at most a small handful of people there. I think there are a lot of places like that - small places that don't have "staff" or events running 24/7 - but have one or two regular events per week and are quiet the rest of the time. I strongly recommend using the events calendar to find events that are going on right when you are looking, as well as stuff you can make a note to come back for later. You can also come by the forum cartel hangout in Allana - search "forum cartel" in places and you will find it - it is also sometimes empty, but most SL afternoons and evenings there are people hanging out there having fun and being silly.

Very good point, I hardly ever use the events calendar, not sure why to be honest but really, that's where I'll find out what's happening.

You can always check out the club in the Dublin sim. (I forget the name) but it usually has alot of people in it. That or you can come play in Toxian City. We always have lots of people there.

From: Macphisto Angelus ...Blues clubs seems to be one of the big things right now. Doesn't sound like your genre of music, but there seems to be an active following of people at those clubs. Good luck. I play blues guitar for years and just found Junkyard Blues ... thanks!
