dating systems in SL

Do people use them?

I have thought about setting one up (not for me LOL I am happy with my man)

but setting up the system that is used in a lot of the adopt a kid places, except have it set up so it would be a dating system/match thing

Do they already exist?
(I tried a search but nothing came up like I was thinking about putting together)

from what i've read here, I think that are a fair amount of that type of thing. I don't know how you would go about searching for that though.

I always think of the things AFTER someone else does

I've seen a few, wandered into the offices. Don't know how successful they are though. From what I saw, they mirror RL as in more women applicants than men... lol

I have seen them but haven't used them.
I don't think someone like myself is good dating material so I haven't tried.

You know... It's the execution not the idea. There is always a new way to execute an old idea.

I own Date Bar. I just use a vendor system and a mailbox. People fill out the questionnaire, embed a photo in the notecardand drop the notecard in the mailbox. I come along and add the photo and notecard to the vendor. People broswe the photos and pay $50L to get the full profile notecard of the people they want to know better.

I can lots of traffic and sales but this is very labor-intensive. I know of one wed-base SL dating service that usess a ATM system with no in-world vendors. You add Lindens to your account (like SL Exchange) and buy profiles from the website.

I like to keep the people search in-world but make t easier to update the vendors.

I have attended speed dating sessions and agree it is usually more women than men and it is LAGGY. You may consider starting a group. There are some exist in the search engine.

I don't do shallow, bubbly Ken and Barbie well.
I don't think GI Joe or Jane is interesting in dating me.
I have absolutely no interest in Gay leather twinks in between escort and modeling gigs with simple minds either.
I don't know if there is a Marilyn Manson or Beautifully sinister Drag King or Gender blurring person with beautifully interesting type of mind out there for me.

LMAO so true. Hmmm on BBC they had a special about men purchasing dolls in rl. Not the blow up kind but very realistic ones. No mention about there being a male doll. Perhaps you can take your prim idea and apply it to rl. There might be a demand for that. Hmmm... give it some thought.

I put some L in one cause I was curious, and I wanted a date. So I paid it said if there is no one to match up with me I get a refund of half or whatever money I put in, so like 10 minutes later I get a refund. apparently no one wants to date me.

I won't use em again because I believe they go by who happens to put money into it in that area so its not a networked thing.

As I write this I see on news a woman is putting her house up for auction on ebay and with it she is also included (as wife) HAHAHHAHAHHA omg..maybe I'll auction up my SL house for a week and Tarina can be included with the perks..

Why not let the highest bidder rent your home and yourself as their wife here?
Seems like more unique way then others are renting off themselves.

We all know that Match.com makes alot of money. The creators of the SL version need to get much more profiles in the server for it to work properly. Lack of marketing and agressivelyregistering people is what the problem is with that system.

I think I saw the footage of that on You Tube. The guys all had British accents, so it could very well be the same thing. the dolls were called "Real Dolls". It was honestly one of the creepiest things I have ever seen in my life. The way those guys talked about their dolls made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end.

That's better than having something else stand up.
