Various companies now offer to replicate your avvy in 3d.

I'm intrigued and very tempted.

What Id like to know is ;

Have you had your avvy turned into a 3d model ?

How big is the replica ?

How much did it cost?

Which company made the replica for you ?

Were your pleased with the end result ?

Do you have a pic we can see please ?

well why would anyone want a bust of themselves sculpting in marvel ? Or an oil painting of themselves ?

Im a magpie for all sorts of odd collectables and think a replica of my avvy would be a great thing to collect.

Well dont you collect anything ? I suppose some people could say ' coming into a virtual world to spend cash buy virtual goods etc...why? '

I must admit the thought had never occurred to me. I find my life quite interesting, but why should anyone else? I'd hope their own life was interesting enough.

I have to agree with the above critiques. I'm no artist (my talent ends at stick figures and smiley faces :) ), but those models look horrendous.

It appears that after they take your avatar data they show you the 3D files that would be used in the 3D printer and don't bill you and produce it unless you approve. I wonder what the preview files look like?

Some of the models in the gallery look ok to me.

No one has mentioned any source other than the one I mentioned.

There aren't any other companies offering this service, are there?
