I haven't read the reslease notes for the new server version but I just came across one improvement that I like.
When you do a shift-copy of an item that's set for sale, the new copy used to keep the price and everything and the original copy needed them to be typed in again. Now both copies keep the data. I like that.
Dunno that it's worth a whole new thread though.

I am using the new RC if that is the one you mean
things seem to be loading faster for me which is always a good thing
never tried the shift copy of something set for sale, THAT will be a time saver for me
and as I hit enter on this msg, SL shut down on me LOL (my guess is the rolling restart)

wow i hope they update my viewer too.. It's not the viewer, Ceka. It's rollout of the new server version that they've been doing for the last couple of days. My sim was done today.

Dunno that it's worth a whole new thread though. By "new copy", do you mean the one left behind when you dragged the old one? If so, I never saw that behavior. I always saw that the original (dragged) copy had the properties, but the new one (unmoved from the original location) was not set. Yes, it seems backwards that the old one is the one you dragged, but that's how SL is, and I wouldn't be surprised to find that it's technically a lot simpler that way. I wonder if they fixed all the other prim properties that get lost when you shift-drag to copy, such as sit targets and particle systems. Thanks for the heads up in any case, Phil!

I wonder if they fixed all the other prim properties that get lost when you shift-drag to copy, such as sit targets and particle systems. I didn't check anything else, Lear. I only noticed it because I was making a version of a couch for someone, and started with an existing couch. I went to the original one to fill in the details, and they were already there. I always think of the one that is dragged as the new one, and the one that's left in the original spot as the old one. So we both experienced the same - we just think of them the other way round

You don't know Phil. I could be an old granny knitting sweaters, scarfs and socks, at least 90 years old and a women's beard But serious, that shift copy, that's really true, about the change? (a simply "yes" or "no Ma'am" would do)
